  1. It’s been almost two years since I got the sleeve and I’m not satisfied where I am. I feel like I could be doing more but I have no motivation in me. I still try to eat healthy but it’s kind of out of control now. I’m scared to be 300 lbs again or to gain any more weight. Lowest weight was 185 I’m at 194 right now. I feel kind of depressed to be honest like I let myself down.. I just need support I guess.
  2. How is everyone doing one year out? I thought I’d lose more weight than I have. I haven’t lost any weight in 4 months and I know exactly why.. I stopped working out and haven’t been eating right. I need some motivation. Starting weight- 305 Surgery weight- 282 Current weight- 185 Goal weight- 150
  3. When did y’all start to buy new clothes and get rid of old clothes? I still have some clothes from when I was 300lbs and still wear them but I’m now 185 so they fall off lol [emoji23] Can’t seem to get rid of them though ??‍♀️
  4. I've lost 115lbs from my highest weight. How are you guys dealing with excess skin? Are you guys already considering plastic surgery? And how soon can someone get a tummy tuck after gastric sleeve?
  5. I had surgery 1/19 lost 48 lbs already. I feel great I can definitely run more and work out more. People can definitely see my progress but I guess it's harder for me to see it. Sometimes I still feel like I haven't lost 48 lbs. it's weird anyone else feel like that?

  9. I'm 5 weeks out and I had the sleeve I have a really bad tooth ache and my dentist said to take some antibiotics but I'm not sure if I can take it? Does anyone know I've been trying to reach my dr but no luck yet.
  10. Yes this is me exactly!!! Right now I just take Tylenol but I'm probably gonna go see the specialist and see what they have to offer.. I need to lose more weight and not feel so bleh lol
  11. I was pain free until around week 4 and it all hit me. It sucks so much. What pain medication do you take if any?
  12. I've been feeling discouraged lately! The scale hasn't moved in a week and I started work again on Monday. I haven't been able to work out and I just feel really sad. I drink two Protein shakes and 2 meals a day no Snacks and a lot of Water. My NUT said I should hit 800-1000 calories a day and I only hit around 500-600 a day. And I have rheumatoid arthritis and the pain came back this week so painful that's another reason I don't work out... Sorry for the rant/post just needed to write something down. 13. What are some of your favorite foods during the soft food stage?
  14. He thought it was something way worse so when I said surgery he was okay so no dinner dates got it haha I probably should have told him sooner because he asked to be his valentine that day with this giant cookie that I couldn't eat [emoji30]
  15. I started dating this guy 2 weeks after surgery and I was worried about telling him but after a week of denying dinner dates I had to tell him lol he took it very well and I'm so relieved he knows. Makes me feel closer to him I guess. Just be honest you did it for yourself no one else [emoji4]
  16. I'm with Kaiser also and they told me to have broth around the 2nd day of post op and I can have soup as well just watered down. Maybe some Kaiser's are different. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Wow, it's funny how each surgeon is different. I'm with the Fresno Kaiser. Where is yours? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App I got my surgery done in West LA Kaiser Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. I have RA also I had to stop taking methotrexate 4 weeks before surgery and can't start taking it until 4 weeks after surgery. I had surgery 1/19/17 And I haven't had any bad pain since surgery thank goodness. I've started to work out a bit more and I do feel more soreness but that just might be from the work out or both. Hopefully I can make it another two weeks without pain because lord knows RN pain is the worse ever! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. I was sleeved 1/19/17 weighted 282 and today I'm at 275. I think I'll stay off the scale for the first month because I don't want to become obsessed with numbers. As long as I feel good and start looking better.

  23. You do the options class before anything! You have to finish the class and try to lose the weight and have the dr approve you to see the surgeon. After everything is cleared the surgeons office calls you to make an appointment. At least this is what I went through. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
