  1. Congratulations!!! Super close! How is your pre op diet going? My pre-op diet did not go so well. I really only got a good week in instead of two. When I buckled down, I felt sick. But I got through it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Yes I'm on liquids until day 16 *sigh* I'm still trial and error with everything so far the only things I like are sf pudding, fudgesicles, and my crystal light, still trying to find a Protein powder I like because as of now I use GENEPRO but don't know if I should trust it has 30 grams or not. 3. I had mine on the 23rd also. I am having a problem getting my liquids in. I seem too be ravenous, and when I drink a little Water or water w/crystal light, I get full right away. I've been mainly eating SF popsicles and sf Jello. I try to sip all day, but it is a struggle. I think it will get better though. One day at a time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. @@sleevedviolet - unfortunately, I haven't been able to tolerate chicken broth, so I've only been able to eat beef broth. I would like to try something other than chicken or beef. I'm on day 4 of 14. Today is the first day I've had any broth because I was trying to stick with chicken, but I was starting to get sick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  7. I am 3 days post-surgery. I have not suffered with gas pains, our pain from my incisions. I've just been sore, but it is manageable. I did stay in the hospital overnight, and had the leak test the following morning. Once I was cleared from the leak test, I was given the okay for Clear liquids, but did not have much of an appetite. When the NUT came by to check on me, she said that was perfectly normal. I feel recovery has been smooth so far, just trying to get in all of my liquids. I have hunger pains, but I'm not hungry for anything in particular. I just hope things to go smoothly! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I planned to take off for a week. However, during my final consult before surgery, my surgeon said that he gives patients 4-6 weeks, although they could possibly go back to work earlier. He said it's not so much the pain, but that patients have a hard time adjusting to how they have to eat post-surgery. Fortunately, I have incredible support from my leadership, so I'll be off for a week, and plan on teleworking for 3 weeks. I am currently 3 days post-op as of 1/26/17. We'll see how it goes. 9. I was told right before my surgery that the chest pains were common, and that it would be gas. I am 2 days post. Although I have not experienced it, I have had quite a bit of nauceousness. I will be happy when this subsides. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
