  1. How is everyone doing?? My surgery was on June 17. I am down 45 lbs. Went from a size 2xl to Medium Pant size 20 to 14-16 I'm so happy with my results so far !
  2. Our bodies are still healing ! I’m sure you’ll be down some lbs in a few days ☺️
  3. Day 4 post-op already down 7 lbs ? So exciting ☺️
  4. I had my surgery on June 17. Just trying to get my protein in . I start my full liquid tomorrow. The pain is like a 3 from a scale of 1-10. I only have a little bit of gas . What did u all drink during full liquids? Are we able to have any soup as long as it’s blended and strained?
  5. Yay ! Good luck to you
  6. I am scheduled for June 17th . So excited & nervous !
  7. Wow we have the same stats I am also 5'6 and weigh 241 currently . I've lost 10 lbs since starting my pre-op program.
  8. So glad you are doing so well. How much have you lost so far?
  9. HI everyone, I have been pondering weight loss surgery for a couple years now . I am currently enrolled in a program at my local Kaiser and am about to finish the nutrition classes which are required to qualify for surgery. I am 5'6 and weigh 242 lbs. I've always been the chunky girl not too big but definitely not skinny. I guess I am just scared that I won't be able to keep up with the requirements of the surgery such as living the healthy lifestyle or committing to exercise 5 times a week. Also I am scared of the excess skin. I don't know if surgery is the way to go but at the same time I don't want to keep gaining weight. I am pre-diabetic and have a fatty liver I know this may be the beginning of more severe problems to come. Any input is welcome :)
  10. I honestly don't mind losing slow ! As long as I lose, I've heard if you lose slow you will have less excess skin.
  11. Have you still been losing weight ? I have had problems losing weight for years due to my hypothyroid, I am hoping that after surgery this won't be the case.
  12. Thank you for the replies, I as well think that even if I lose weight I will eventually gain it back.
  13. So I am starting the process for WLS through Kaiser. I won't be starting their 12 week nutrition class until June 20th. So it will be a couple months before I actually have surgery. The doctor wants me on a 1500 calorie meal plan and to start exercising starting now. My question is did losing weight before the surgery ever make you feel like , you didn't need the surgery after all??? I currently weigh 250 lb. and my BMI is 41, I am 5'6.
  14. Thank you ! I am sure I will need some help along the way.
  15. Hi Everyone, I'm so excited I was approved for surgery by Kaiser yesterday. I went to an orientation and am now enrolled in their 12 week Options program.
