  1. I haven't gotten a call yet, most likely I'll be the following Tuesday then... I added you as a friend on here if you don't mind, seems nice to have someone going through the process simultaneously Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Hey! I contacted my PCP and he told me he prefers the SSF center. I told him to go ahead and send my referral there since i couldn't find any specific information... Did you get a call yet?
  3. I am in San Jose and go to the Kaiser Santa Clara facility, I can choose between SSF or Fremont or any other NorCal Kaiser it seems. Any advice? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Hi All, I went to my Surgery Introduction Seminar today at Kaiser Santa Clara. My next steps are to have my PCP refer me to the bariatric program, but they gave me 5 hospitals to choose from. After lots of research it seems each hospital's program is slightly different. I can choose between Fresno, Fremont, Richmond, South Sacramento, and South San Francisco. Anybody have any feedback on these? I am unsure which one to choose. Fremont is the closest to me, but my PCP mentioned SSF before i went to the seminar. Maybe someone can describe the program they went through at which hospital? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  6. Have you picked your surgeon? Do you even get a choice with Kaiser? If so, I recommend Dr Richard Nguyen at Lifetime Surgical. He is over at Good Samaritan and he is awesome. I had no pain or negative side effects. He is going my husband s surgery next week. HW 385 SW 359 CW 299 (out of the 300s!) You get to choose Kaiser surgeons at Kaiser hospitals, so good sam won't work for me. I had my introductory seminar today. They gave me 5 hospitals to choose from, so I am unsure which one to go to cuz it seems everyone is different... I can choose between Fresno, Fremont, Richmond, South Sacramento, and South San Francisco. Anybody have any feedback on these? My PCP mentioned South San Francisco... Figured I should edit this to say I go to the Santa Clara Kaiser

  13. Hi, I am unsure of that plan but I know for the platinum plan the online estimate says $290 total cost. I think the best thing you could do is call and ask them. I went with the platinum so I could save as much money as possible. The surgery itself can cost up to $60k completely out of pocket. That doesn't count all of the doctors visits required before and after either... I am also in California, but Nor Cal, I don't think there's a difference though. Hopefully that helps!
