  5. I went in for gastric sleeve surgery on 1/16. According to my surgeon everything was going to be fine. Woke up to find out that he couldnt complete the surgery. He says that he couldnt manouver the probes correctly and couldnt get to the upper part of my stomach. But that it had nothing to do with my liver. He is saying that i have to much fat on my abdomen and it made if difficult. My issue with this is the fact that it was a surprise that i carry my weight there. So could he not see that might be an issue once he got in there?. So now I am in pain, sore and having trouble eating for nothing. and Have to lose 50 to 75 more pounds before he can go back in. I feel very defeated. Between taking time off for you and getting things situated to be able to do this surgery. Now i have to go through it all again. If I choose to. I feel so embarrassed about this. I get to explain why I wont be out of work as long. and why I couldnt get the surgery. Just very discourging. Maybe i should just quit while im ahead.

  13. Thank you for the replies. It hasn't been to hard up to this point. When I'm working it is easier because I don't eat at work, so drinking the shakes were easy. And when I'm at home I am sleeping. I work nights so it's the transitioning back to days when I'm off that messes me up. I just get hunger pains. Or some kind of pain. 5 more days left till my surgery. I'm praying I make it till then. The last thing I want to do is gain any weight. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  19. Hi guys, I'm feeling extremely guilty. I started my pre op liver shrinking diet on Dec 26th. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 16th. I have lost the recommended weight that my surgeon wanted me to within the first 2 weeks. So I cheated this past weekend. And I feel awful about it. Just needed somewhere to vent to. When I talk to my husband about it. He tells me thst it'd ok. Just get back on the wagon. :/

  27. I have had people tell me that I am taking the easy way out. My surgery isn't till the 16th. But I know that there is nothing about this that is easy. It is hard. Hard to stay on the liquid diet. Hard to make the decision. Just keep your head up and know that it is not about them. You are doing this for you. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  29. I'm also scheduled for Jan 16th. Sleeve buddies! I have used the slimfast high protein powder as well. The chocolate is my fave. My husband messed up and bought the mixed berries one. ( jot the greTest) however I mixed the two together and it tastes great. Lol Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  30. I 100% understand about being scared. I am too. I had my pre op appt today and have lost the necessary weight they wanted me to.So we are good to go for my surgery on 1/16 And when my surgeon walked out of the room, I just broke down crying. It scared me so bad. It was like I couldn't believe I didn't somehow sabotage the whole thing. But keep your head up and have faith. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  31. Oh ok. I don't know what that is. Lol but I will look into it.
  32. Thank you! My husband is usually the more positive of the two of us. Lol He keeps me from getting to negative. I appreciate any and all prayers. Do you have a FB or snapchat we can keep in touch.
  33. Very cute. Love this idea. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  34. I am in my pre-op diet right now. And my surgery is scheduled for Jan 16th. I am in North Florda. Is there anyone who would like to be buddies and keep in touch? I have a great support system ,but still have been struggling. The closer I get the more nervous and anxious I get. I have a bad problem of second guessing myself. Been taking it one day at at time. It's a little hard with having to work nights. I've had to switch everything around. :/ Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
