  6. Hello Newmein2017, I'm having surgery at 11AM tomorrow. I'm excited, just not sleeping much, spending a LOT of time sitting on the white throne. This clear liquid diet is awesome!!! I've already dropped 11 lbs. I started Thursday night. Clear liquids (broth, sugar free popsicles, sugar free Jello, gatoraide zero, and Water. AND nothing by mouth after midnight tonight. I had to pick up my prescriptions before hand and other miscellaneous items to pack for my stay at the hospital. I also purchased everything I will need for my smoothies once I am cleared for that. I am lactose intolerant so I won't be able to do the whey Protein Isolate, I am doing Pea Protein & Hemp Protein Isolate powders. I bought a ton of the Lift Protein Water by Atkins & Isopure Protein Water been sipping on that these past couple of days. I have gas tabs that dissolve in mouth & gas strips. I have Calcium with Vitamin D, Biotin for my hair, Kosher herbal laxative, B12 dissolving tabs to put under my tongue for energy after surgery clearance. A new set of PJs and slippers for the hospital and a journal which my doctor & nutritionist suggested I use pre & post surgery. I think that is it. Oh & SUGAR FREE JELLO!!! 11. Replying to #1 Post on 12/14/2016 - "Every who has had surgery already, how are you feeling?! How was your experience? And to everyone waiting for their surgeries, are you excited?! Hows pre op going? I'm assuming most have started by now and if not are you dreading starting like I was?! haha, i have 2 more sleeps till my surgery and I'm so ready for it to be over with!!!!" I am doing good, other than not sleeping much (cat napping all weekend - not one ounce of REM sleep since Thursday night) but I am sure that is expected with the excitement of anticipation of my surgery tomorrow. I have already lost 11 ;bs with this clear liquid diet that I have been on for 3 days (pre op), I'm already feeling like a better me - working towards the best me! I haven't packed my bag yet, but I have everything I need, just need to put it in the bag for the hospital. I am single, and was concerned about coming home from surgery alone, so I will also be packing a back to take with me when I leave the hospital because I will be staying at my daughter's home until I feel comfortable bringing my new tummy home. I essentially have purchased everything I need, the Protein isolate, (I am not doing the whey, I am doing the P Protein Isolate powder because of being lactose intolerant. I bought the Biotin tabs for hair loss prevention & support, the Vitamins, the protein waters, gas tabs, chapstick, and other items. I picked up my prescriptions from the pharmacy already, and waiting to head to the hospital in the morning. i plan to do my BEFORE photos tonight & my final pre surgery weigh in, and if I can figure out how to save info on this website, I will update my profile. I plan on taking it easy today, and just continuing to drink drink drink these Clear Liquids up until bedtime tonight. . I am super excited, I am the "glass have full" kind of lady, and I always look for the positives, in life, and not put emphasis or focus on the negatives. I look for the lessons to be learned from them, and how I can turn them into positives, you know LEMONS into LEMONADE. I am sure we all have had or will have some concerns about this life altering decision we have made, and procedure we have had or are about to have, and I hope that we won't let the negative thoughts rob us of the positive impact this will have in & on our lives. We all want and need something better, or we wouldn't have made the choice to do this. I hope we can continue to glean from each others post all of the wisdom shared by those who have already had their procedures, knowledge that we have, and real life testimonies about our day to day successes. I know there may be some pain and discomfort (that is true with any surgery), I know that this new tummy & new lifestyle will require some getting used to, but I a more than confident that WE CAN DO THIS!!! so let's take the bull by the horns and ride on to victory!!! (and NO I have not been drinking - alcohol, LOL) just super excited for all of us!!!! have a great day! Happy Weight Losing Everyone!!!
  12. Well Everyone, Tomorrow morning is my big day! I'm really excited, I'm doing more cat napping than really sleeping, but I figured this was probably normal seeing how my adrenaline is pumping so much! I got on the scale yesterday morning, and with this clear liquid diet, I have already lost 11 LBS, from 266 down to 255. I can even tell in my clothing that I have lost weight. I know this is just the beginning of BETTER THINGS TO COME!!! YAY!! Task for today is to PACK my small bag for the hospital & big bag for my stay at my daughter's after leaving the hospital. I will do my best to check in with everyone BEFORE & AFTER and I continue to pray US ALL success on our journeys. Have an amazing day!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. I normally wear a medium length nails, but decided to cut them short for the surgery. Got them done last night, just felt that it would be better to have short nails during the procedure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Hello Everyone, My surgery is Monday morning, December 19, 2016. I am excited about this new phase of my life journey. I am ready to enjoy the rest of my life in a healthy & happy way. I am tired of carrying all of this excess weight (physically & emotionally) and looking forward to ALL things new. I welcome any suggestions that anyone cares to share. I am currently on my 48 hour Clear Liquids before my procedure. so far it's good. I was able to get the Isopure Protein Water from the GNC and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. some of the flavors are actually tasty: Green one, I think it is apple melon & the Coconut. I haven't tried them all yet, I did try the black tea and in ONE WORD - Yuck is how I describe it! LOL!!! I am lactose intolerant so I am not doing the whey Protein, but I did find two good ones the Vegan Pea Protein and the Hemp Protein. They both taste okay, I made smoothies the other day and used them just to see what I was going to be experiencing, and they were not bad, a little chalky, but I added some fresh mango, blue berry and spinach to it and it was fine. I will be packing my bag today for the hospital stay, are there any items other than basic: PJs and toiletries that I should pack? Any tips that anyone can recommend? I am happy to be a part of this forum December 2016 Sleevers, and hope to learn a lot, as well as impart a lot. I hope the best success to all 12 2016 sleevers! HAPPY SLEEVING!!!
