  3. First off welcome and I hope you can join in a lot. I have been on this board for almost a month and I have found it helpful. For me, my preoperative diet was Optifast shakes 5 a day x 14 days. I could have as much Water as I wanted as well as sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles. The first 4 days and last 3 days were rough. Surgery for me was rough.   4. He doesn't want me drinking the optifast shakes from preop due to the sugar content. I use premier protein but I am still about 10-15 grams under goal.

  6. Dumping basically is triggered by high sugar or high fat content. The food doesnt stay in the pouch long and will rapidly emptying (dumping) during this process you can get heart palpitations, dizziness, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.   10. i think the pill thing is not about swallowing it is about being able to have them in you long enough to absorb the medicine.   23. I know your feeling. I just had surgery on 12/23/16. I have been home two days. I wondered if I made a mistake. The answer is no. This is what I want.
