  3. Just wanted to update you all. that it was just a stall that ended a week or so after i posted this and most likely due to my low water intake. my friends and i have patched things up. changes may sometimes bring out the worst in your friends but rifts are what friendships are made up. thank you all!
  4. Thank you all for your supportive words. I'm going to up my exercise and confront my "friends" to get out of this rut.
  5. I'm not sure if This is meant to be cheeky. I'm sensitive right is And count could be reading into things but I'm aware what a low bmi is. I'm obviously referring to the context of gastric sleeve where a low starting bmi is under 35.
  6. Hey all, I had my sleeve done on Jan 5th and going through a stall now as I introduce solids back into my diet. My starting bmi was 34. I am reaching out to sleeved friends for support and essentially being told "what did I expect?" Deep down i know the stall is temporary but another part of me is wondering is it true. That I won't lose weight or re gain lol of it back because the surgery was not meant for me? I'm asking for or some advice please
  7. I am on a forum with several wls patients. I don't have to make my family or friends my support system.
  8. I'm scared too but it is a necessary evil lol. I just hold my breath and look away also.
  9. I am scheduled for Jan 5th at long term VSG with Dr. M. It ranges from 3000 to 4000 + depending on length and location of stay and promotional dates.
  10. Still doesn't feel real lol. I'm more emotional over the fact I tried to find two sweatsuits so I could look cute at the airport but the Boxing Day sales have been awful af. I don't want to look dusty coming home with my new stomach lol.
  11. I'm not even nervous lol. I hope I don't ever begin to be. I can't wait lol
  12. I'm from Canada also. Scheduled for January. You have plenty of time! I just decided this a few months ago.
  13. I love this damn thread! Congrats to you all!
  14. You don't have to tell anyone anything.
  15. We are the same age! And I'm also scheduled for January. On the 5th! Good luck!
  16. This is kind of a spin off from @@hdsjourney topic. What did you guys put in your fridge/ groceries did you buy for your post op clear liquid/ full liquid phases? I want to be prepared but know my appetite/cravings/taste buds might change dramatically. I've gotten bouillon cubes and sugar free popsicles so far. Plan on getting clear Protein powder and an assortment of Protein drinks to try when I get back so I know what to stock up on.
  17. I told a friend tonight so much for keeping it a secret. They were surprisingly supportive. I still wish I hadn't said anything with my big mouth lmao
  18. Great topic! Can't wait to see responses so far all I've packed is a travel pillow and blanket lol.
  19. Thank you! I am just so used to disappointing myself. But I am working hard to get over myself so I don't sabotage my progress.
  20. SMH... Well, that's one interpretation. Good luck to you. What is this? Keep your negativity to yourself.
  21. My appetite is probably going to though lol
  22. Aw so jealous! I'm from Toronto but not qualified by insurance so going to Mexico instead. Good luck and happy healing! I don't know if I told you in the last thread but you are so pretty!
