  12. I have children who are adults and they are supportive as they have seen my on a diet most of their lives and have said that they think its a good thing as I cannot keep my weight off. My partner is supporting me but has said that they would prefer if i did not have surgery as they are scared that something will happen to me. I understand this but have talked to them and explained that I need to do this for me!

  14. I have a hiatus hernia which is very large which means that i suffer with GERD my surgeon at first suggested a bypass but then after he has discussed my case with the MDT team phoned me back. He said he had spoken to the professor and that they will operate on the hiatus hernia and do a sleeve as they think this will be best option. He mentioned about doing the sleeve a bit lower. I am not sure what this means but am going to speak to him at my pre op appointment. I am having my surgery on 20th Jan. I currently take Landszoprisole with helps with the GERD.
  15. I am looking forward to being able to go into shops and not have to look at the back of the rail for the large sizes or to shop in big girl shops. I am also looking forward to not having to really plan what to wear and having a waldrobe full of clothes which i can only fit in less than half of them! I am looking forward to working my way through them and then getting rid of them and buying smaller clothes. Like you guys being fitter and healther.
