  1. Holy moley ladies! What awesome posts to wake up to!! Skye, Funny... wowzers!! *hugs ya both!* I'm thrilled for ya both - and also praying for Funny and Skye's hubby to get better. Lins... Go for it! I know you'll be feeling great when you go to that wedding. Get that challenge going!
  2. You can click on Quick Links at the top of the page and then select Subscribed Threads and you'll see a list of threads you posted in. I use that a lot. Or, go back to the home page and look at the newest posts, or scan down the forums to see the latest posts. Mine come to my email too, like Dawg said, so sometimes I scan through those.
  3. Gatorade and jello.. sugar and water. You aren't drinking any protein shakes? Of any kind? Was that Drs orders? Sounds like you did over do a weak body. Sip water, lots of water. If you cant drink protein shakes yet and have to be on clear liquids, get some Nature's Best Zero Carb Isopure protein drinks. They are clear and fruit flavored, already prepared in jars. I hear of a lot of people feeling sick the first few days after surgery. Take it easy for a while. Walk short bits at a time until you are getting more protein in. Your body is going through a lot right now. Treat it with kindness
  4. Dawg isnt wearing any pants. *snickers*
  5. Oh you'll find so much here that it will be hard to stay away. Many of us are complete addicts now. *laughs* I'm glad you found us. Do you travel for work... errr.. trucker?
  6. Ok all you Losers... only two days left on the Spring Challenge. Who's going to win.... hmmmm?
  7. And watch out for MyKdsDad, he packs a heck of a *smooch*! *grins* Welcome to LBT!
  8. This person has posted the same thing on about six threads now without waiting to get a response. I think they are "trolling" for money! LOL
  9. DGMozer - stop posting the same thing on all of these different threads. Wait and let someone answer you on one thread.
  10. I'll tell you what. Sometime in the next year I'm going to have to be in Knoxville, Tennessee. When that happens, I'll let you all know and I'll make it a point of scootin' over the border to have lunch with my adopted NC family. Deal?
  11. Ah ha! Look at you girl. You're going to have one of those bodies I'm always so jealous of. You dont look out of proportion at all. Woot! I'm celebrating with you over here in Idaho!! How does it feel to be half the woman you used to be? I'm guessing that it ROCKS! Yay for you!
  12. First of all, Sammee... Huge congrats on your accomplishment! That is just remarkable! Secondly, I am close to my goal. Well, ok, 73 pounds closeR. But I'm seeing the same issues. The bottom half is getting smaller than the top half. I plan to have an "attitude adjustment" made to my girls when I reach goal IF they cant straighten themselves up! hehe I agree with Donna. That is THE look admired by many. Slender hips, and big chested. I'd say you ended up with the best of both worlds. Have you shared before and after pics yet? Did I just miss them?
  13. More smelling salts! We need more smelling salts!! *grins*
  14. Sangha is a word in Indian languages that can be translated roughly as "association" or "assembly". It is commonly used in several senses to refer to Buddhist or Jain groups. Traditionally, in Buddhism almost always has one of two meanings: most commonly, sangha means the order of ordained Buddhist monks or nuns (that is, there is one sangha of monks and one of nuns). In a stricter sense, sangha can mean the assembly of all beings possessing some degree of enlightenment. This is referred to as the arya-sangha or noble sangha. That's what it means. She takes off her shoes when going to services. Right?
  15. Ok! I'll be a good luck troll! Here's me going Trollster on ya... Internet troll From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages designed intentionally to annoy and antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion (see Anonymous Internet posting). Vicious circles For many people, the characterising feature of trolling is the perception of intent to disrupt a community in some way. Inflammatory, sarcastic, disruptive or humorous content is posted, meant to draw other users into engaging the troll in a fruitless confrontation. The greater the reaction from the community the more likely the user is to troll again, as the person develops beliefs that certain actions achieve his/her goal to cause chaos. This gives rise to the often repeated protocol in Internet culture: "Do not feed the trolls." Often, a person will post a sincere message about which he is emotionally sensitive. Skillful trolls know that an easy way to upset him is to falsely claim that he is a "troll." In forums where most users are similar to each other, outsiders may be perceived as trolls simply because they do not fit into the social norms of that group. It can sometimes be difficult to distinguish between a user who merely has different values, views, or ideas, and a user who is intentionally trolling. This can lead to genuinely hostile behavior, including flame wars.
  16. Aww, hang in there Dody. *hugs* I can't imagine what you're going through but I'm sure that God's not punishing you. Marianne, what's sangha? Oh wait.. I'll google it! *hugs Dody again*
  17. Awwww lightnin' bugs. I remember those as a kid. Ate watermellon and spit the seeds too. Right after we shucked the corn that we picked from my great aunts corn patch in back of her house. Yup, good memories.
  18. A talking scale... Does it say these kinds of things to you?
  19. Ohhh.. oh my. That sounds all kinds of good. I've been making fruit salads lately with strawberries, red grapes, kiwi, banana, canned mandarin oranges and pineapple. No sugar or sweetners on that. Oh my! A huge bowl of that doesn't last long in this house. I get about 1/2 cup and the rest is gone. Oops... did I just hijack this thread? So sorry. Watermellon and red grape juice. *drools* Sounds so yummy.
  20. We have a Health-o-Meter too. I think we paid about $30 for ours. It is always consistent and always within two pounds of my Dr's scales. At home I weigh nekkid, so I figure the added two pounds at the Dr's are my clothes. I take off my shoes, coat, anything that I can remove without embarassment. hehe
  21. Nah, a measuring tape is the true measure of a person. *grins* Come on everyone. Lighten up now. I'm in a good mood. No spoiling it or I'll go Trollster on your arse!
  22. No way man!! OMG! Dont you know?? If you cheat on your diet, your toes will turn purple... your teeth with fall out... the FBI will post your pic in all the hospital waiting areas! *snickers* Youre only cheating yourself. And its vital to get your liver smaller for safer surgery. If it is too fatty and cannot be safely moved aside to access the banding area of the stomach, you could wake up with no band. (This is what my Dr told me. I know not all Drs put ppl on the pre-op diet.) Do your best. THIS is the start of your journey. Don't start out by going backwards. Best wishes to ya. Look to us for support and suggestions. There's plenty here to go around. And not all of us are smartasses. *winks*
  23. Apology accepted! Although, I wasn't there either. Um.. wait, why wasn't I invited? *grins* sorry.. couldn't resist.
  24. ROFL!! Nice mental picture. No wonder you have a thing about wearing shoes indoors. Who wants to walk on pizza? Well... there may be someone out there who would but that's for another thread intirely! *laughs*
  25. OOooo... that does sound good IAC. You just pour in grape juice?
