Gone for Good Club - July 2006
I agree with Lins, Telly you dont need a fill girl. Now let's see *squints* I see people weighing in so it must be Wednesday? hehe Guess I'll go see if I can stand on the scales without falling off before I can figure out what it says. *comes back* Hmm.. Do you think two weeks of chugging the fruit of the vine (probably doubling my calories per day, or more) has caused this 2.5 pound gain? How odd. Stupid band... I want a bypass! *stumbles off laughing* C 224.5 (-82.5 lbs total, +2.5 this week)

Did you lose weight before your first fill?
ousooner... I have done exactly what youre saying. I just passed my 6th month bandiversary and have still not touched breads, pastas, rice, or sugars. I feel like an alcoholic who knows she can NOT take that first sip or she'll be right back where she was before. A good healthy fear of PBs and eating around the band has rewarded me with an 85 pound loss so far. Dont anyone take offense to this, its just an observation and not a criticism or judgement.. It seems to me that those who follow the rules have much better (faster) success than those who don't. Those who don't may choose to believe that following rules is a set up for failing because one can only deny themselves for a certain amount of time before they crumble.. BUT I say this... I have rarely denied myself of any foods and I weighed 307 pounds because I have no ability to control myself. I am an over indulger with a love for food (for many different reasons) and if I could have taken a bite or two and left the rest... well, I wouldn't be here now typing this.

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
*staggers in* I did it. Got drunk every day since Friday. *laughs, squints* Ow. I found that cravings for horribly fattening foods assaulted me worse than the hangovers, but stayed true. I cooked a roast yesterday and that was basically all I ate through the day so I know that some of my weight right now has yet to pass. *snicker* I'm going to take yesterday's weight, just because I can. :grouphug: C 222.5 (-84.5 lbs total, -1 this week) By the way. I am really enjoying the break and Amy is doing a fantastic job! I woke up this morning thinking "Oh, its weigh-in day, I have a lot of work to doo..ooh Amy's doing it! Yay!" So thanks Sis, this break has been wonderful. *big smooches*

Proud of my lil' Buckaroo
Nice work, Heather. I have a picture that my daughter drew and colored for me when she was six. I always wanted to turn it into a crosstitch pattern so I could preserve it. What program did you use? Share!

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
Just so y'all know. Funny is out of town for a few days so the Members and Honor's pages wont be updated until she returns. A big hello to all the new folks joining! :welcome: IMPORTANT REMINDER: Since there are so many of us in the club and each month's thread gets so long, it becomes difficult for some people to browse through because of all of the long signatures at the end of each post. So we ask that you un-check the "Show your signature box" before posting. You'll find this option at the bottom of the "Quick Reply" window and also in the Additional Options section of the Edit screen you go to when you click on Post Reply or on the Edit button. Thanks!! IMPORTANT REQUEST: I've received a few PMs from some of our members who are beginning to feel a bit left out and uncomfortable about posting on the GFG threads. We need to remember that we have a very diverse group of members. Young, old(er), male, female, liberal, conservative. It's important that we all feel at home here, and I believe the best way to do this is to stay focused on what the club is for. Weight loss and lapband support. I do encourage everyone to feel free to have friendly chats, but please be considerate and focus these chats around topics that everyone will want to join in or at least glean motivation and information from. We need to be cautious about offending others so that all of our members feel part of the group. I hope everyone sees that this isn't a critism of anyone who has been posting, only a request to leave room for everyone to participate. Thanks a bunch. You losers are the GREATEST!!

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
I have decided that I am going to get completely shit-faced tonight and stay shit-faced until Wednesday morning. If I show up in that time frame, just remember that I'm not responsible for anything I say or do and that I will return to my usual kind self on weigh in day! *evil grin* (and if you think I'm joking... you don't know me very well) Oh.. and by the way... Funny and her family have left to go out of town for the 4th weekend. I don't want anyone thinking she's left LBT because of any misunderstandings here. This was a pre-planned thing. So no rumors! *laughs*

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
*sigh* Amy is my friend too. She's like a sister to me. And what's going on between is us OUR business. Can we let it drop and move on now? Please? Having everyone else chime in with their opinions about something that they don't have all the facts on is only going to get others stirred up and involved, turning it into something blown way out of proportion. Let Amy and me deal with what's between us, and y'all just focus on why we post on this thread, ok? And as for pictures. Post your before and after for June here

Gone for Good Club - June 2006
The Gone for Good Club - July 2006 has been started and will continue as we have always done. Wednesday weigh ins will be done in that thread as always. There isnt going to be a July Challenge simply because a lot of folks were getting burnt out over it. We can have one in August if enough folks want to participate. Let's don't make this into something it isn't! I'll ask the mods to lock this thread now. Here is the link to the July thread, all future posts should be on there. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=20375

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
Ok folks.. listen up. Funny did step in to help me out. She felt she was doing me a favor and I appreciate that. So this month's thread will be kept going as it was begun. Funny will update for us, and I would expect that she'll also be adding up the scorecards and announcing the winner of the June Challenge. No biggie. This isn't MY club. HeatherGurl and I started it so there would be a club that belonged to the club members, not just to the person with their name on the first post. And that's how it remains. I certainly don't want this to turn into a split group of people who gossip and point fingers at each other. It's seriously no big deal. As Kathy said, what difference does it make who posts what. The purpose of this club is not to glorify any one person. It's to provide support, encouragement, and love for the members. Funny was doing just that when she stepped in to lighten my load. That's what's important right? So shup now, and get back to those situps ya losers! *grins* *hugs to all*

Gone for Good Club - June 2006
Aww Telly, thank you for that. I'm sorry that something I said made you feel bad. It honestly wasn't intended to. In fact, I just gave that same bit of advice to Shackdog today in a PM when he told me that his Dr (my Dr too) told him that he needs to eat more because they are worried that he's losing too fast and will lose muscle, which also means your organs and your heart. Shack and I have been close friends for many years and it was with the same concern that I wanted you both to be cautious. I would never want to dampen anyone's dreams or spirits. I'm sorry if I did that to you in my trying to be helpful. Anyway, thank you for such sweet words. They mean a lot. *smiles*
