It's my Bandiversary!
Grats hun! What an inspiration and what a reminder that this journey isn't just about losing weight. It's about learning to live with and accept who we really are. Looks like you've made a lot of progress on all fields. I'm very happy for ya, girl. :) :huggie:

Flaming and being flamed
DonnaB, you rock No snarkasm there, just fact, but I do love being a snarkastic joker. Hey Nancy? Ya might as well get used to the fact that there are going to be people who are not mature enough to hear an opposing opinion or to allow anyone to say they are wrong. Then, when you do run across folks like that... *points to DonnaB's post with a grin*

Age plus BMI equals nearly 100?
Banded at age 49 with a BMI of 51. That was just shy of seven months ago. I've lost 85 pounds. The band doesn't do all of the work for you, but then neither does the RnY. It still requires making healthy food choices and avoiding liquid calories but if your downfall is quantity or breads, the band is certainly more than capable of assisting you in the weight loss. Best wishes.

What happened to it????
Same thing happened to me as well. It did level out over time though. I'm not certain, but I think that some swelling might occur just after the fill, that goes down after a couple of days. Give it a few days and see if things don't seem better. I know that there are times when I feel wide open and then other times very restricted. As Jack says, the band is a fickle bitch. *snicker*

Joined PB Club - Please REVOKE membership!
A PB is when food gets stuck from eating too fast, not chewing enough, or it was just a type of food that you'll no longer find easy to eat. Those of you who are PB'ing that badly on soft foods should go get a small unfill. There is no reason you should be going thru such agony. Good restriciton does not mean you have to rely on super soft or liquidy foods. In fact, that is counterproductive. You should be able to eat a resonable variety of hard Proteins (chicken, fish, red meat) along with fruits and veggies (altho some fiberous fruits and veggies will always be a problem). Consider that small adjustment to your fill. Your body will thank you.

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
One day of behaving really pays off! I dropped from 225.5 down to 222.5 today! I just walked a mile on the dreadmill and shaved off a minute from yesterday. I'm mixing in a bit of jogging with it now but I have to cheat to do it. I hold myself up on the handrails a bit and bump up the speed from 3.0 to 3.4mph. Jog as long as I can and then back off to 3.0 again. Yup, it gets me sweatin' and that's a good thing right?

Christmas Lovers Thread
White Christmas (bing and fred) and It's a Wonderful Life, complete our must-see Christmas movie list each year. I would DIE to have that house in White Christmas - DIE! Ohhh.. wanna have the Christmas spirit fill your home today? Put a small pan of Water with some Pickling Spices (found with the seasonings) in it on the stove on low heat all day. MmmmmMMMmm  That's it. Im hanging white lights on our new patio tonight. One more thing, then'll I'll stop monopolizing this thread. I was just thinking that we all have plenty of time to be prepared for the big dinners and temptations that await us over the holidays. Maybe we could share ideas for healthy dishes that could adequately replace the usual sugar and fat laden ones we eat? If we work this right, we could have all the meals and Snacks planned out ahead of time and not make it so hard for Santa to fulfill our Christmas wishes. hehe

Christmas Lovers Thread
Hey.. I just thought of something. I had a Christmas album by Charlie Pride when I was a kid. The cover was a pic of him in a Santa hat. I adored that album and haven't been able to find it anywhere. Maybe one of you have heard of it and could help me get a copy? w00t! Oh, and thanks a lot Sis. I've listened to Mary Did You Know about 10 times now and Dawg is going to throttle you for getting me in the Christmas spirit this early in the year! LOL

Leg Cramps
Ive been getting bad shin, foot and calf cramps in the night. I believe mine has been due to dehydration. I get up and put a bit of salt on my tongue (hubby's advice) and sure enough, within minutes its gone. Be sure you're drinking anough water (recommended is 64oz PLUS 8oz per every 25 lbs of excess weight).
