  1. Thanks I have to contact them or see if I could find that cuz I've been nuking it, and I definitely don't want to lose nutrients. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Hmm...I love it too. Hope we are really getting our 30 grams!? Why can't you microwave it? I have with no issues. I put in in quacomole and refried Beans, coffee, applesauce.. anything!! Gonna have my Protein levels checked if that's possible. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  3. @Jill...Omg last night (Dec 27th surgery) I was close to going to ER. I may have eaten too much of my normal pureed meat and veggies. The pain was excruciating. It was all upper stomach. And I constantly felt like the food was stuck. You're are lucky though...Mine lasted 5 hours!! I kept making myself vomit hoping it would help, it didn't. Called surgeon today. If it happens again they will do upper GI. Right now, I'm going slow and Measuring! Hoping it is nothing to fret about. How was your experience? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  4. @ Babbs (because I like what you have to say) question...Did you struggle with food addiction? If yes, curious how your journey went. Any tips for those of us, what worked or didn't work. I'm 3 weeks post and I know the surgery is only a tool. Wondering how/ what successful food addicts do to prevent turning to food. Assuming you want to share of course Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  5. 2 weeks post and left side pain still there, but otherwise okay Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

  10. You look great!! I second the working out question..I'm 2 weeks post bypass and dreading the loose skin. Your skin looks great! Please tell us your workout regimen and if you don't mind sharing, your age???? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  11. No problem with that. Bear in mind that the human gut has a limited ability to absorb protein though.. about 30-40g at one sitting.. Sent from my SM-N900P using the BariatricPal App Thanks Middus..I am good then, not going over 20 Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App

  13. I'm still in pureed stage but adding genpro to most things to meet my needs. From what I've read, it seems most people add Protein when they are years out. Is it safe to supplement your diet with protein long term, even for life? I guess body builders do...So might not be that bad? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  14. My NUT likes Optisource. It's a chewable that you take 4 times/day. Everything you need is in there. I'm using that until I get sick of using chewables and cleared to start regular pills. Sent from my SM-G900P using the BariatricPal App How is the taste? TIA Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  15. Thank you so much...Been wondering this. I always have more after I puree and then have to add a little Protein powder to get to the 15 g. Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I am only 11 days post but getting close to 80 grams a day buy adding genpro to my coffee and a little bit to wherever I need it... Homemade applesauce w/cinnamon, pureed veggies, yogurt etc. Oh, and the oatmeal is great I add 1/2 tbsp gen pro and a little bit of PB2 and splash of milk...It's also made with milk..More protein!! I like that it's not sweet...Just my personal taste .. Could you add splendid to it? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  17. Do you put it together when you puree? Or add dressing afterwards? Tia Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  18. Yes I was in a lot of pain, still am at 6 days out... Getting a bit better. Hang in there Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  19. Can I be honest? Getting the best results weight loss wise will happen when you can resist the urge to eat whatever and whenever you're craving, and choose the best option for you 90% of the time. Your "I really want mashed potatoes and gravy from churches chicken" threw a red flag for me. I really want a cheeseburger from Five Guy's. Oh, and the fries. And the shake. But I won't. I've gotten good at exercising my will power muscles. Not perfect, but pretty good. These early stages are trying, but a great way to begin to practice it. This is all about changing behaviors and attitudes about food. It takes time, but it's doable. 6 days post op, great insight...Thank you for taking the time Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  20. How does the pureed chicken taste? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  21. We are on the same timeline! 6 days post op. I have managed to get all my Water and Protein in. Can you try Soups? That's what I do..4 oz Soup (strained of course) add 10grams unflavoured, I use

  23. I'm thinking I may follow a similar plan for now. Try to get my protein in every 2 hours. My ability to fit it all in should improve with my healing. Also...A poster on here said they add genpro to 4 oz oj and it's undetectable, I'm going to add that to my rotation too because already getting sick of Soups. Gonna try a 4 oz Protein shake today and see if it's tolerable Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  24. Yes! Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
  25. I'm 5 days post op. The hospital gave me a meal tracker.. First week full liquids every 2 hours and Water in between. 6 meals a day. Next phase is 4-6 meals a day pureed for 2 weeks. I managed to get all my water and Protein by eating 4 oZ every meal of soup, decaf, kefer with 10 grams of protein added. I wait 30 minutes then give myself a little over an hour to get my water in. I always wake up in middle of night and I use that time to drink more water. I carry my bottle with me everywhere. Protein shakes are filling, try other things that allow your protein in 4 oz. Good luck Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
