  1. I would put chicken breasts in the food processor & make chicken salad. I seemed to live on that during the puréed phase. Mine was for 2 weeks & it felt like forever!!! But it ended eventually... & I still purée my chicken salad in the food processor since! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. @"LittleBill" what is your Protein bar of choice? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. For some reason scrambled eggs always felt like a ton of bricks...but I was able to tolerate chicken salad or turkey salad well. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Next week I'll be one month post-op, so I'm still in the puréed phase. Just wondering how many calories a day is everybody consuming after surgery? I'm making sure I have enough protein & (trying to) get the right amount of water in as well... but as for my meals (food & shakes), I've been trying to stay below 700/day. What about everybody else?
  5. Ceviche! Pre op, that's been my favorite thing to order at my local Mexican restaurant. I would even mix in some of the salsa for a little kick. But I'm still in the puréed phase now, so none of that for me for a little while longer. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was sleeved 11/7 as well, was supposed to start puréed foods the day after thanksgiving but I gave it a shot with the turkey & mashed potato. I made sure I chewed it up to the consistency of applesauce & ate very slowly & I seemed to be ok... barely ate half a slice of turkey & boy did my body sure tell me when I was full! Starting to eat puréed is a whole different feeling than being on the shakes 3x day. Did you purée or mush up your food well? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I've always found the South Beach Program easy to follow - no carb/sugar. So for the weeks before the pre-op I followed SB. Then 15 days before was shake for Breakfast & lunch & sensible dinner. I made sure that my dinner fit within the SB guidelines. My surgeon said that was fine bc my post op diet with be low carb/ sugar also ... so SB was good practice Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I bought a few Isopure drinks but I think they tasted horrible. I just had a coupon for the Atkins Lift Protein drinks (they're clear like a Gatorade) so I bought a 4 pack of the berry - they're also sweet but much better than the Isopures. 20 grams of protein - the bottle is as big as a regular sized Water bottle. 9. I'm still on full liquids... I just said to my friend that I just can't wait to chew again!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. My nutritionist told me that condiments are going to be my best friend. If something is a little dry, to dip it in whatever my condiment is to moisten it up. She also said I can put an applesauce in the place where my drink would be. Applesauce should also help moisten the food up a bit & help to get it down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was sleeved on the 7th also... my first purée food date is the day after Thanksgiving. The surgeon gave me the ok yesterday to bring in yogurts & sugar free pudding a few days early (I was supposed to begin those tomorrow) I've been following his instructions unless he told me otherwise. 12. I can't stand the smell or thought of chicken broth post-op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I was just sleeved on November 7, a week ago today. To date I have only lost 5 pounds since my surgery day. What has everyone else lost within their first week? For some reason I expected to lose a little bit more than just five in a week
  14. The surgery went well. Afterwards I felt a bunch of pain which they told me was all air/gas that I had to get out. I'm finally feeling better 3 days post op but for some reason, my left shoulder & arm has been hurting the whole time. Icy hot helped that tho. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Awesome! Just had my sleeve on Monday! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
