  1. If it were me and remember I say if it were me , one more sign of any blood and I would go into the ER grab somebody's face and say what's going on here you have to be your own advocate. Listen to me I've had nothing but complications since my surgery including an ulcer I'm dealing with now. I am feeling better and these things can happen just remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil so watch things carefully. Sent from my SGH-M919 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I am 58 when I had this surgery 10 weeks ago. I've had nothing but complications sentence including an ulcer but I believe I'm finally coming out of the woods the ulcer treatment might be working which means I can expand what I can eat not how much but what. I weighed my highest .373 pounds I now weigh 290. I've had both my knees replaced I have arthritis everywhere you want to do this now you don't want to wait and suffer like I did you want to be able to enjoy doing things with your kids. 3. I took one of my own pillows and under clothes everything else was provided except your favorite books or even coloring stuff. Be prepared to stick to the diet to the letter after surgery if you don't you can get complications I've had a post-surgical yeast infection of the systemic variety. Now I have an ulcer I'm dealing with and it also means almost constant nausea inability to eat anything except much and even just a few bites of that and stomach pain and discomfort so if your doctor says liquids for a week that's what you do if he says purees for 2 weeks that's what you do. Sent from my SGH-M919 using the BariatricPal App That was except MUSHY stuff. Sent from my SGH-M919 using the BariatricPal App
  4. Cheat and you risk an ulcer like I have or a stricture. It will make your life a real misery. You are nauseated almost constantly, everything you eat hurts, you're restricted to just taking a couple of bites so stick to your doctors plan by the letter. Sent from my SGH-M919 using the BariatricPal App
  5. You have to stick to the plan. Eating wrong can bring on an ulcer like I have and you don't want to go there. What can make you nauseous all the time and give you an inability to eat almost anything except Cream of Wheat type foods. Stick to the plan Clear liquids for the first few days. I got an unexpected infection ,I lost my taste, almost nothing tastes good . it's rebounded a little bit but not much, nothing tastes the same anymore.... sweet stuff is too sweet ,plus I developed an ulcer right at the surgery line that causes nausea over fullness and pain...... you can't study for that kind of stuff.
