  3. I sure am I had the lap band though, they didn't have the sleeve when I did mine, but the rules are the same or close. I was 295 when I had my surgery it took me 2 years to get to 160 and most recently I am 153. My lowest was 145 and I'm 5'7 so I looked bad. I'm 53 years old and it's life began 7 years ago when I was 46. Life is good. This picture of me is silly, it was me this Halloween. I dressed up and felt so silly and happy. 4. I could never give up icecream! I understand the guilt, I still have it 7 years post op. So just keep going! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  5. My band is 3 also. I had one taken out and I gained 10 pounds in a month! Scared me, so I had it put back in. I eat about 3 cups of food a day. I try to split it up of course and put my Protein in first. I have bad days and eat sweets and some alcohol once in a while but for the most part I follow the rules. I went through what I call the candy years. I didn't eat very healthy year 4 and 5, but luckily I managed to keep weight down. It took two years to reach my goal, and this has definately been a journey. I have to tell you when my band was too loose, I ate a big mac! I got really sick though lol. You can do it, and even though my band is the same as yours, I think that varies from person to person. I must say the option to loosen or tighten has been good for me! 6. I called my story still hanging in there because I believe I will battle food the rest of my life. It's OK though because I'm learning to manage my addiction and I won't lose. So, 7 years ago I weighed 295 pounds. I was sad and uncomfortable and I wanted to change. I heard about lap band and decided that is what I needed to do. I went back and forth for about a year before I did it. There was a mourning process, but I survived! It hasn't always been easy, but truthfully I hadn't had the problems many people have had. I will answer questions or just be support
  7. That is wonderful. I am 7 years out from getting my lap band and I know exactly what you are saying. No more hiding! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

  9. You look great! Not sure why but when I got to my goal I just stopped losing. I go up and down 10 pounds now, but I guess you just get the eating part down. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

  15. That happened to me, the acid had caused irritation and my opening was very small. I had a cc taken out and everything cleared up. Now I take antacid more frequently. I also gained 15 pounds in a month, so I am going back for a fill. Hope the acid doesn't come back, I need to watch my diet better if I'm being honest. 16. I just posted about this same thing. I feel like my head hasn't learned what it should have.. I wonder if it ever will. Had my surgery 7 years ago..???? Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  17. I've had my lap band for 7 years. I've lost 150 pounds, and I'm very happy! About a month ago my band all of a sudden became irritated, doc says probably acid. I had a cc take out and in one month I have gained 15 pounds. I have an appointment Friday to have some put back in. I guess I just needed to vent, this food thing, addiction or whatever will never go away. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
