First...my surgery date is Feb 7...yay! 2nd...I am on an all liquid diet. Day 1 I didn't really have hunger. Day 1 was as follows: 80oz Water 2 premier Protein shakes 1 puree Campbell's chicken noodle Soup with unflavored protein. Day 2: woke up, not hungry 40oz water (so far - been busy) 1 premier Protein shake. Still not really hungry. Is this normal??? Or am I just ready mentally for this surgery? I am contemplating Dr Illan in MX but my sister, who is a nurse anesthestitist, states that if there is any complications, no Dr state side will want to touch me. What did y'all do after you came back? PS....my sister had a bariatric patient die on her table due to blowing out his stitches 4 years after surgery. Ok...now they are singing a new tune. They said they will bill my insurance for the gallbladder, but I still have to pay the full amount for the VSG. I don't think that is legal because then the hospital stay and anesthesia is being paid for twice Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

They are booking it as gallbladder surgery and billing to insurance. I still owe my deductible. Then, I am paying the Surgeon's fee of $6450 for the VSG. I am a self pay and was thinking, since my pre surgical workup shows a large (2.5cm) gallstone, maybe I could go in for gallbladder removal....have insurance pay for that...and I pay the surgeon's fee for the VSG.
