  1. I like life. I like drinking and eating with friends. I never had eating issues. Not obese. I gained 70lbs in 6 month (medical) and did the surgery to drop that weight and 'get on with life' I don't obsess about food or plot ways to cheat. I follow the rules . I think my excess weight will be gone by march. Then I want to stretch the sleeve and eat and drink (wine) as always. My weight was stable for 20 years before my medical condition caused the gain and that's been fixed. Anyone done this? If yes when? Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve
  2. Wondering if anyone has eaten pickles or olives. If yes was it NUT approved? What timeframe Post surgery? Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve

    Pickles and olives

I haven't had olives yet but I will. I am still eating Soups and purees! I could introduce new things as I am 2 months out but...I have my 'routine' what I shop for and what I cook so I have to make an effort to have variety. Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve

    No protein

I am 1 week post op. Feel good. Almost no pain. Almost fine. Tons of energy. and happily living on Vitamin Water zero, homemade chicken stock and Jello. Not interested in food. No cravings. But I am worried about nutrition. I am vegetarian and didn't eat meat before and my Protein intake has always been low. Suggestions? Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve

1-yes the medical condition that caused the weight loss is resolved. 2-I am not obsess, have zero food issues, have had a stable weight all my life (even paralyzed) 3-I enjoyed my healthy weight, healthy food choices before VGS and look forward to returning to my 'usual lifestyle' Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve

    Paralyzed and VGS

I am not hungry one bit. I drink 3 cups of chicken broth and a 1 cup of Jello a day and get 64oz of liquid. I think I can eat yoghurt but I feel fine just eating what I am... Paralyzed /Canadian/Mexican Sleeve
  19. I was paralyzed in an accident 5 years ago, I am still paralyzed, durining the 5 years weight crept on and made my life even more difficult. I decided to do the bariatric sleeve. I looked at hospitals in Thailand, Mexico and India. Mexico was closest so I picked Mexico. I wish I went with India. Mexico had me scheduled out of hospital within 24 hrs, India asked me to stay 10 (same price). They gave me a link with super basic food info. Said I can take any meds I want. I am scrambling to find out when I should be feeling (my left side is in pain and I am suffering severe orthostatic hypotension) the team here in Mexico just seemed to want me out out out. I paid for an extra day. My bill has gone up from $4800 quote to $6000. With no support. So I am hoping to gleen some guidance from you all here! I am on day 5 and only had chicken stock, juice and Water. I am a little hungry but can handle 2 more days. I can't move so I am always in great discomfort. I fly tomorrow and and worried about how I will manage. I worry I won't have enough care at home (I live alone) Day 7 what can I eat? Day 14 what can I eat? I am 5'8 210lbs and hope to get down to 150 and start my journey of rehab in hopes to walk, or at least stand one day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
