I want you to...pump...me up (yes, I know that sounds terrible)
I'm not a guy, BUT...I've been using T25. I follow the 'modified' version. Good, short workouts when I can't make it to the gym and it focuses on a targeted area.

Saying.... Thanks
@bayougirlmrsc Thanks for posting this. I'm sticking around. This place was my "go-to" before my surgery. You were one of the first people to speak to me here on BP. I saw you taking some 'crap' from certain people not too long ago, crap you didn't deserve. I'm glad you didn't leave.

Post Op Recovery Problems
Don't panic...you're only on day 2 and there's going to be pain. Everyone's pain tolerance is different. I've had a couple of kids pain doesn't frighten me. And honestly, if you've never had any other surgeries, you may not be accustomed to this kind of discomfort. Hang in there. Take your pain meds like clockwork.

Where did people go to get financial help?
I did! I went through my bank instead of the financing option the doctor's office offered. I think the doctor's office offered something called Prosper Loans. I got a much better rate at my bank than the Prosper Loan company. I also used my medical spending account so I didn't finance the whole thing.

Will eating ever feel close to normal again?
Very good question. I'm not much farther along than you are. I can relate.

BCBS of Alabama
I shopped around for a cheaper cash price surgeon and found one where I live (Huntsville). Dr. Suggs is his name if you're in North Alabama. it was $9800 for everything (anesthesia, hospital stay and doctor's fee).

BCBS of Alabama
I have AL BC/BS. I was denied. My sleep apnea wasn't bad enough. SO, I paid for my surgery with a loan and using my medical spending account. It was much easier than jumping through so many damn hoops. My BMI wasn't high enough for BC/BS. I didn't want to get any bigger and wait another two years.

Abdominal Binder?
I wore a Spanx-like tank top that gives light compression. I still wear it, it's quite comfy!

No more insulin!
WONDERFUL! See, the investment in yourself...it's already paying off! I would absolutely hate to give myself insulin shots every day. I have to give my dog insulin , that's bad enough!

Crackers
It does seem weird not having tuna on a cracker! BUT....not time for that yet. It's just extra carbs you don't need anyway, right? Focus on that protein! But...whenever I see cheezits in the store I wince a little. So I completely understand!

Is there anything that surprised you?
Also, the smell of my coworkers' lunches. I can't take it.

Is there anything that surprised you?
Change in tastes really surprised me. I used to hate cottage cheese. I like it now. Cake, not so much. I had a nibble this weekend at a party. It tasted so weird.

Im sitting in the waiting room
You could ask if there's anything you have to do in order to get discharged (like walk a lap around the floor, any certain tests).

Who is doing everything RIGHT?
I walked the day I got home! I didn't set any land-speed records that day but honestly, I felt better when I walked (darn gas pains).

So. very. SLOW.
@GACaldwell I started out at 220. I lost 20 pounds the first month (I had my surgery in December 2016) but now it's slowed to a crawl. It is frustrating!!! I'm also in Alabama too!

Day 3 and Need Advice
@Sleeved_Grace just like Jamie Logical said, get yourself some GasX strips and keep them bad boys handy for the next few weeks. They are AMAZING! I still use them!
