  1. A lot of insurance plans require the 6 month diet - especially bcbs. Mine went really well - i lost 40 lbs. Just me, but I don't think premier is the best Protein option. It's a whey concentrate blend, and your body will process 100% whey isolate the best, especially after surgery. Look at Syntrax nectar,
  2. I know that my states bcbs required the 6 months. liz
  3. I'm 3.5 weeks out and can swallow small pills. I first started with cutting them in half. I couldn't stand crushing them. I have one that i have to open (capsule) and i mix it in lemonade. You could also try mixing it into applesauce, yogurt, Jello, etc liz
  4. So Syntrax nectar is really good. You can buy individual serving packs online to try flavors at bariatricpantry.com. once you've found flavors you like, you can get huge containers on jet.com for i think $27. You can also get samples of

  6. It can definitely be tough. Head hunger is real and can be hard to work through. Just keep sipping on your Water and Protein shakes and try to rest to let your body heal. It takes a huge toll on your body and emotions. I have been more easily irritated and emotional since surgery a few weeks ago. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
  7. My doc says it's pretty normal. I heard my stomach growl and rumble for days. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm 3 weeks out and started puree last week. I've been eating this: breakfast has been 1.5 tbsp cottage cheese with 1 tbsp applesauce, lunch and dinner has been either 2 oz tuna mixed with a little olive oil mayo, shredded cheese, and avocado, or refried Beans with a little ground beef, taco seasoning, and shredded cheese. Snack has been puree sweet potato or butternut squash. Also supplementing with lots of Protein shakes/drinks. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App
  9. Hey Heather! I'm in Sac as well! Had RNY on 10/3/16. Still on pureed foods, so I don't have a ton of ideas on what I'll not be able to handle - so far only eggs have given me problems. My favorite is refried Beans right now. Would love to chat and help support each other if you're interested. Hope all is well! Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

  11. I am about 2 weeks out and I know what you mean. It does get better. Your body is healing and that takes energy, plus the adjustment to the lack of calories. Like now I feel better and get surges of energy but still don't have enough to sustain a full 8 hr day at work. Sent from my SPH-L720T using the BariatricPal App
  12. I use Syntrax nectar. I love the naturals fruit punch, and the chocolate and Cappuccino. But they have tons of flavors. Sent from my SPH-L720T using the BariatricPal App
