  5. I got you beat! I'll be 43 on March 8th and waiting for my surgery date in March! I'm going through Doc Krause at RO Beaumont. Want a support buddy? What a great birthday gift to yourself Kelly!
  6. Yay! That is fantastic Kelly! Are you doing a revision from the band too?
  7. I'd love to be part of the fb group too! What are the privacy settings for it? I just don't want all of my fb friends and family to see me as a member of the group as I haven't decided if I am going to tell any of them about my plans.
  8. Hi everyone! I'm still pretty new to this site. I love reading about everyones WLS journey! My name is Donna. I live in Michigan. I was banded in 2008, had a slippage/repair in 2013, and am now in the process of meeting the requirements for 6 months of appointments to have the band removed and revision to the sleeve. (Should have an August surgery date) While at my first appointment, the Dr. at the Beaumont Weight Control Center said that there is a higher success rate for band to bypass, than band to sleeve patients. I do not feel comfortable about the idea of having a bypass. Please share your band to sleeve success stories with me. I gained all but 10# back from my 55# loss with the band, currently at 250/5'6 tall. Thank you!
  9. 32 lbs?!?! That is fantastic!! Good for you!
  10. That is so hard. I struggle with drinking while eating meals. Very hard habit to break!!
  11. Count me in! I'm the old one in the group at 42. I live in Warren. Pre op too, just started up my 6 month wait period with my first month of appointments. Going through Beaumont for my surgery.
  12. So glad to hear you are doing well!! I wouldn't have thought of egg drop soup, but I like that!!
  13. I had a Dr appt with my surgeons office yesterday too, and they told me to just concentrate on maintaining my current weight so I don't fall below the 40 BMI. My surgery won't be until August sometime. I originally thought it was going to be June or July, but my first "consult" with my surgeons office doesnt get counted toward the 6 month wait. )
  14. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. I have just always been hard on my self. Heck yeah!! 40 lbs in 2 months isn't much to show?? That is fantastic!! Good job!!
  15. I just found out that my 6 month timer doesn't start til I have my first visit at the Beaumont weight control center, which I was able to set up for tomorrow. Also, stupid me.... that puts me at mid July, not June. sigh......
