  1. Good luck, I hope that you get everything turned in to them. t just seems funny to me that a lot of companies out there make you do all the work to do their job. Oh well, I guess that is one of the problems of living in the modern world.
  2. Yes it does change a lot. Just try not to be tempted when you do the shopping. This fantastic journey that we are on can be a difficult one.
  3. Congratulations! You look great. Keep up the fantastic job and the stall is just mind over matter. You don't mind and it don't matter.
  4. Tomorrow I will be 3 months post op from my RNY surgery. On Monday the 16 I have my month checkup with my surgeon. It will be my first blood draw since the surgery and I am excited to see how they think I am doing and what my test results will be.
  5. CONGRATULATIONS! Good luck on your surgery and tomorrow we will be welcoming you to the loser's bench.
  6. Not only is a heating pad a good idea, but so is a heated blanket/throw. After surgery you will find that you are cold a lot of the time. I am sitting at my desk right now, it is 75 degrees (per the old thermostatometer on my desk), I have a sweater on and a heavy jacket and I am still cold. One of the "side effects" from the gastric bypass.
  7. Bariatric Kitchen on FB has a lot of recipes.
  8. WOW! I guess I got lucky and was approved in September 2016 by BCBS FEP. Sorry that they denied you. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  9. Redmaxx replied to LittleBill's topic in The Lounge
@@LittleBill I hope the neighbors didn't have to call the cops on you last night. LOL
  10. Congratulations! You look great. Your story is inspirational. I have just started my journey and I can't believe the changes for the better. Keep up the great work and again, CONGRATULATIONS!
  11. Since the first of the year the SPAM seems to have gone down. I used to report 4 or 5 posts a day as SPAM, now I am lucky to report one.
  12. You are still early in the post op journey. Emotions go all over the place. It does get better. This time of year is hard as well. Try to stay positive and continue with your therapist. And just remember, we, your bariatric family are always here to listen and try to help.
  13. It wouldn't hurt to take them with you. Just In Case.
  14. Don't forget to put an insurance policy on that expensive belly button. LOL Looking great, that you very much for sharing.
  15. I can't wait for Saturday 7 Jan 2017 to be over and done with. I was asked to be the chairperson for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy for the 4th District in the Department of Michigan. The original chairperson had done the event for years and had everything electronically. Over the past couple oars, this person had quit many times and was always begged to reconsider and do the event. This year after he quit, he was not asked to reconsider and he got mad an deleted everything that he had electronically. I had to redo the program/ad book from scratch, redo the certificates, the seating chart, the student bios and the winning plaques. This is a job for someone who is retired and has extra time. I am under so much stress to get this event done and done correctly. The event is Saturday night and I can not wait for it to be done and over with. Oh and on top of vent, I am campaigning for a State Level VFW position that requires me to travel all over the State of Michigan. I seriously think that all this stress is why I am currently at a stall. Oh well, I guess it is my fault since I am the stupid one who said that I would do it. People know I never say no so they use that to get me to do whatever they need done. Next year I am going a step back from the VFW (unless I win the State Level Position) and let other people step up. Sorry, I just realized that I didn't start this post in rants.
  16. Congratulations! Are you paying for this on your own or just waiting to see what the copay is going to be?
  17. If we told you then it wouldn't be a secret. LOL
  18. Yeah my recommendation is to go to the Sally Shops (Salvation Army Thrift Store, Goodwill, DAV, etc.). You are going to lose weigh pretty rapidly and it doesn't make sense to buy brand new clothes once or twice a month. Right now I buy all my clothes (minus socks and underwear) at the thrift stores. Just remember to wash them before you wear them.
  19. I have the s 11 weeks post op. I upped the water intake and use Gold Bond Lotion for Diabetics.
  20. That is an expensive belly button. Did you take out an insurance policy on it?
  21. I regret it every single day. I regret that I didn't have it done sooner.
  22. Congratulations to the both of you. We will see you on the loser's bench very soon.
  23. I have found that I can use my Xbox 360 (with the Kinect) and use the Sports games. With the Kinect you are the controller so you have to jump, squat, etc. Also, I have a resistance band from when I went through PT for the arthritis in my shoulder and I found some exercises that I can do online.
  24. When the sight disabled guy who owns the store in your building says, "You look tired and drawn out." True story, the almost blind and told me that. I was floored and didn't know how to respond.
  25. Thank goodness Christmas and New Years is over. The mall is way less crowded and it is easier to walk. It is hard to walk outside due to the fact that I live in Michigan and with the cold/snow/rain/wind it is almost impossible to walk outside.
