  1. At this point I would go and let them see my face while hearing my voice. They should be ashamed of themselves! I wish you all the luck in the world!
  2. I'm 47, I wish I would have done this years ago. You will do great! That's the only regret I have, not doing it years ago.
  3. Bone broth is much better. Doesn't taste like a box.
  4. YMMV. For me, I am seeing getting 60g of protein in solid food as an enormous space requirement from my sleeve, that seems to preclude the possibility of eating what remotely looks like a balanced meal (it would have to almost all be protein with no room for anything else) To the various times in your response that you assume I am pre-op, I point out (as my profile says) that my surgery was April 26th and I've lost over 20 lbs in the last 8 days post op. Yes I have no experience with Stage 3 eating, and was looking for experience of others (including but not limited to yours) and not "planning" anything in stone. Not anti-vitamin. I am anti a day of largely eating nothing but protein and having room for nothing else in the balanced eating equation. I know I signed up for needing a multivitamin for the rest of my life by doing this. You don't have to eat only protein, just make what do you eat higher in protein. I had RNY in November 2016 and I don't drink any drinks to meet my "quota" as you say. Once you get to the regular food stage it will get easier for you. You're still early out.
  5. In still looking myself. So far no luck.
  6. I was told to add spices. They are calorie and carb free so I added anything and everything I wanted even on the liquid stage. But to be safe check with your surgeon or NUT.
  7. You're doing great! Don't fret over it everything will be fine. Doing what you are doing there is no way the liver can't shrink [emoji4] stay positive!
  8. Yes I never stopped taking. I did have to crush it the first week and it made it work faster than normal. I still take it. I had the bypass btw. No problems at all. It's always better to call your surgeon of course but I don't think it will be a problem [emoji4]
  9. Gotcha! I'm sorry this happened. Don't get discouraged and keep pushing forward. It's so worth it at the end.
  10. If you've gained or not lost anything that's probably why you have to do three more visits. Get you're head back in the game, you can do this.
  11. I had RNY November 2016 and I still gurgle.
  12. No way to avoid it. The biotin doesn't keep it from falling out, it helps to grow back stronger.
  13. Yes I did. The drain tube site is not stitched close like the other incisions so its healing from an open wound. It'll feel better in a day or two.
  14. That is a blessing [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  15. I had the bypass and I crushed it the first week. The only thing is it works faster than the whole form.
  16. You can add it to pudding. That's what I was told to do. It turns into a liquid in your mouth. But to be safe talk to your surgeon.
  17. I had to get my medicine changed for the reason of not eating a regular meal.
  18. I take meds for bipolar also. I had gastric bypass. I only had to crush or open capsules for a week. Be warned they taste nasty no matter what you add them too. The omeprazole doesn't have a taste, it's little beads. I actually had to be switched from the Latuda because it's to be taken with a large meal and obviously those days are over for us. If you wanna chat about it just PM me [emoji4]
  19. I had the bypass and don't have trouble at all. I crushed it for a week then started taking whole pill. Still works good. I had surgery 11/14/16
  20. I had my thyroid removed in 2005. I had gastric bypass in November 2106. I'm dependent on the medicine also. I haven't had any issues however my GP said that my dose may need to be decreased as I lose weight.
  21. PB2 or PBFit. You can get it al Walmart. It's the powder and it's good. Just makes it into a paste before you add it to anything.
