Hi Jersey girl, How are you. I am sorry I havent been intouch. I was just thinking of you and thought I would send a text.
How have you been doing since your surgery? Have you had a fill?
I have been doing well. down to 215 . My weight has been slow but steady. I am trying to exercise more now...hoping that will help.
I may call Dr Strom's office soon for my second fill.
I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather.

I am so sorry. I didnt see this text till now. Thanks for writing. I am doing well. I have had one fill. I think I may call Dr Strom for another soon. How often have you been filled since October? Have you had any soda since your band? if so how did you do?
I do not go to the meetings, maybe I should for support!

I was banded on the 5th of march. I have had soda a few times...I have not had a problem with it. I love a ice cold diet coke on a hot day. I have found I can have most anything so long as I take it slow and have less than I did before the band. Good luck and keep up the good work! Happy summer to you... M Duke

Hi guy's I have been MIA too! I wanted to check in on everyone. I am doing well. I have had one fill. I am not in a hurry for another, I feel great and I am loosing 2-3 pounds every week. I was banded on the 5th of March and have lost about 42pounds. Keep up the good work friends. M

Hi Guy's I am from Virginia but Now live in New Jersey. I was banded on March 5th 2008...I am doing okay, lost almost 30 pounds. My question is ,Do you know of a good Dr in the Newport News area? I am trying to get my mother to go....Thank you. M

Hi Guys Can you please tell me what PB and slimmed means? I just had my first fill last Friday. I was banded in March. The only thing that has happened so far is after eating too fast the food felt like it was stuck in my chest...scared the hell out of me, I could hardly breath. Just wanted to learn the lingo :-) Thanks M

I was banded on march 5th. I had my first fill last week. I meet with a few people at the hospital while waiting for my fill...we compared notes because I have had a little pain on the side where the port is located. Two out of five have pain ( feels like a bee sting) sometimes it feels tight almost like a pulling sinsation? I ask my Doc and she said it was normal and that we are all different...I still feel tender and it has been eight weeks! The good news is I am down almost thrity pounds... Wishing you well!!! M

Hi Guys I was banded on the 5th of March. everyday I second guess my disicion...I do understand fear...thats for sure! I just wanted to say thank you for making me feel better :-) I have lost 25 pounds so far. It does keep me from binge eating ( that was always a problem for me). I wanted to back out too, then a friend of mine put it to me like this. If I needed a pace maker for my heart I would get it... If I needed a hip replaced I would get it. I needed something to help me control my hunger to help me maintain a healthy weight...I got it! Good luck friend. M

Hi I was filled last week for the forst time. I have had tuna with light mayo...thinking that would be ok? It felt like it got stuck in my chest! It took about five mins before it went down. Has anything gotten stuck like that before? STRANGE!!! Question. What is "slimmed"? I have seen it used before but never asked anyone what it ment. I hope things get better for you. Keep me posted...

I had surgery on the 5th of March. I was so scared, I tried to back out of the whole thing! I thought what the hell am I doing?
A friend of mine really kept me on track. I started out at 260 pre opt I am down to 227.
I gained too much weight with the kids and never lost it.
The hardest part of the surgery was a reaction to the meds and my skin was ichy, I was a littlt sore afterward , it wasnt that bad. take your pain meds and you will be fine.
Two weeks after my surgery my little brother passed away so I had to go down to Virginia...it was difficult for a lot of reasons. I didnt do well with my eating but I am getting back on track.

Just checking in to see how you are doing. When do you have surgery? I go in for my first fill on the 17th of this month. I still can't believe I did this!I have tried everything to keep my weight down. I have been doing well just need to start moving more...ugh!

I feel so light headed today! I think I have been eating enough? I tried apple juice but still dizzy...has anyone else felt faint? Mari

Sorry it took me so long to respond. Dr Strom was great, I didnt have any problem I started the process in Jan. I have lost about twenty pounds. If you have any questions... if I can help in anyway let me know.

Hi I think everyone is different. I have not had a hard time with eggs. I have had eggs several different ways without any problem. try them and see how you do. Good luck! -
Hi Travel girl. I was banded on March 5th, I had been doing well, felt great! My little brother passed away a week and a half ago...I 've been depressed but thought My eating was undercontrol? When I woke this morning I felt light headed...drank apple juice had a banna and some almonds. I have not had a fill yet so I am able to drink water. Maybe it is stress or sadness ( not sure). I am not feeling like myself and wanted to find out if anyone had felt dizzy or light headed...sorry Just needed some reasurrance :-(

Hi I think you will feel like a new girl in another 2 to 3 days. I thought the pain was much more than a lot of people had posted... I thought it was tough and I had four c-sections! keep drinking small amounts of water. try ice pops, and eating ice chips. I was banded on the 5th of March. I had not lost but four pounds the 1st two weeks after surgery then It started to come off faster...we are all a little different that way. Take good care of yourself. try not to think in terms of nubembers right now. I started to weigh once a week because I was getting discouraged. I wish you great health and well being. M -

Hi I was banded on the 5th of March. Do you have any soreness in the place where the band/port is located? I still feel sore...I have a hard time sleeping on that side. I have my first fill on the 17th of April. I am hungery all the time too! Have you started exercising yet? good luck to you... M -

I do feel full faster...I think? I can still over eat. I try to make better choices but it is hard! I have my first fill on the 17th of April...I will keep you posted. -
Due to have my first fill on the 17th of April. Did any one have a lot of pain after a fill? I know I sound like a cry baby...because I am! I had my band on the 5th of March, I still have a hard time sleeping on the left side where the port is located. Does anyone else have strange feeling where the port is located? feel's like I have pulled something...

Hi Banded sisters Thanks for getting back to me, not that I want anyone to hurt...happy to not be alone! I just had some chicken broth. I dont have a hard time with the clear liqs. I go to the Dr in the morning, I hope he lets me go on to have more....the refried beans with cheese sounds GRRRREAT!!! I may have to try that ASAP! I hope you will keep me posted on your success. I am not sure how to do the tracker thing( I will have to try to learn). I will let you know about my Dr apt in the morning, I hope Ive lost some weight...wish me luck! Mari -

hi flower. we were banded on the same day. I am still in pain. I am still sitting in a recliner . cant get in and out of my bed. Please let me know how your doing. I am sorry you are so sore,but releived to see someone that AGREES it is so painful! what have you been drinking? have you tried any soft food yet? Hope to hear from you. best, Mari
