First you get qualified in regards to your bmi #. Then make sure your insurance is in the network. Your appt will be set to meet with your surgeon. Please keep in mind all surgeons work different. My surgeon stated that my insurance Co requires me to see a nutritionist for a few mos, then other items on your check list. My process took 5 mos, my surgery is Dec but my original date was Oct 19 but it got denied. My dr appealed it since it's medical necessary. It got approved this past week.
