  2. The devil in me wants you to go on the attack, "OMG aunt xyz, do great to see you! Looks like you're enjoying all the holiday goodies! ". The more angelic side of me would reply to the 'you're going to be so beautiful when you lose weight' with a 'Thank you, but I'm already beautiful.' Then turn and talk to someone else. 3. It's a requirement of my surgeon. Just makes sure your heart is in good shape. It wasn't bad at all. Started with a sonogram, then they put on a heart monitor and did breathing tests, then breathing on a stationary bike, then breathing after. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  4. Congratulations! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  5. I know exactly what you mean! I really lingered over every single bite. NOTHING like the flavor of a good grilled steak! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App

  7. Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in. I'm doing better with my Protein, bit still working on getting all my fluids in. I stayed with a personal trainer this week. So walk a mile every day during my lunch break when weather allows and then do strength twice a week. I thought she was taking it easy on me yesterday , but I'm feeling it today! (Jello thighs) I caught myself saying something yesterday I didn't think would ever come out of my mouth, much less meant wholeheartedly - I hate eating. I'm always in fear of that next bite being the one that will make me have a horrid feeling. It's only happened once, but never want to feel that again! 8. I'm 5 weeks out and am starting with a personal trainer tomorrow. She was recommended by a friend, she used to be heavy herself, so understands the mental and physical impact. My consult with her was amazing. I feel like she's a life coach as well as a trainer! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  9. I'm struggling with protein as well. On a good day I get 50 grams in. I'm trying to work on it more. It's so much more comfortable to eat soup than chew food till it's mush. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  10. My surgery was 9/26. I'm finally over the extreme fatigue. The swelling should go down within the next week. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  11. I don't know that I've had a typical day, but mostly a scrambled eggs for Breakfast, 1/4 cup cottage cheese or yogurt for a snack. A few ounces of lunch meat and a laughing cow cheese for lunch, a banana or part of a Protein smoothie for another snack and then a couple ounces of lean meat and maybe some cooked veggies for dinner. 12. I'm glad you're feeling ok. Praying your recovery continues to be uneventful! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App

  15. Great job on 40 lbs gone! Since I haven't had much control over what food is available , I've done my best trying low sugar premade Protein shakes from the corner stores and cutting skin off of fried chicken etc. It was nearly impossible to track, so I opted not to drive myself insane. I'm doing my best to get back into a grove now that we're home. I'm hoping the scale will start moving soon! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  16. Hi everyone! I was sleeved 9/26. Had lost 14lbs that first week and NOTHING since. The last couple of weeks have been hard as there was a death in the family that meant we had to travel out of state - and stay with family I had not told about my surgery. So I'm wondering if it's a normal adjustment or if trying to work with what they provided killed my potential. How are you all doing? Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  17. I have my first post op appt today too. Wishing all of us luck! Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App

  19. I was sleeved last Monday and have been on clear no sugar liquids since. My follow up is late Wednesday afternoon. I am more week today than I was on day 3. Per the post op diet I should be onto mushy foods and full liquids now. I'm paranoid about moving on before my appt. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
  20. I wish my hunger was just in my head. I was sleeved the same day and have been on clear sugar free diet since. The things I would do for a banana right now... I'm really looking forward to my post op Wednesday when I'll be cleared for some food. Sent from my SM-N900T using the BariatricPal App
