  1. Shakes/ liquids never satisfy my hunger. Only food does. I do drink one premium shake though purely for the supplemental Protein when my food intake protein is not at least 65gm Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I am one month out. I've felt hungry since day one. I understand that the noises and rumbles are healing and at times the noise and rumbles happen and im not hungry, but other times, I'm sorry, I'm hungry. I've done the "think of an apple" trick, and yes, I want the apple. Albeit, my stomach and thankfully a little food makes me full. Dare I also say, a week out I started soft foods, chewing well. I've got no complications and helping well. I wish the hunger went away for me as I read it has for so many. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App
  3. My BMI was 37.7 surgery day which was three weeks ago. Lost about 16 right away..first week post surgery and nothing since. Plus I've gotten my period twice ...ugh! Frustrating... hungry alot and have no issues eating...taste buds haven't changed, hunger still there, tolerating all foods and can drink about 5 good swallows of Water with no pain. 4. I'm three weeks out. I definitely get hungry. I struggle with eating too fast because I'm hungry! I went from liquids to foods. Just chew real well and take small bites. No problems really Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App

  12. Hi all. 16 days ago I was sleeved. Getting my water in and eating normally... meaning chewing vs puree and tolerating all foods. Cant eat any raw veggies; cook them up soft, soups are wonderful, tuna, chicken, fish, of course I tried pizza and that was too much. Too doughy and heavy in stomach. I am eating small portions, slower pace at the table, exercising every day and happy. Down 16 lbs since surgery. This, I can do. No nausea, have not vomited at all, no bathroom problems either. 13. No. You can't drink too many liquids..they will flush right out. No worries

  17. The stomach does stretch. I've read research on this and my doctor confirmed. I know we are all different and tolerate different foods and amounts. I exercise daily burning about 300 calories a day. I eat anywhere from 600-800 calories per day. That, works for me. I'm losing weight and getting my protein in which is key.
  18. Describe dangerous...you can stretch the sleeve but that takes more than a few times of overeating. You know when that last bite is just right vs that one more bite makes you uncomfortable. I think it's all about finding your personal set full point.

  20. Normal..I'm finding we are all different..there's no single right or wrong...trust your gut!
  21. I'm eating solids 9 days out, chewing well, eating slowly, 60 plus grams of protein...about 700 calories a day and walking an hour a day. I'm not having any issues with nausea and haven't vomited once. I feel like I'm different than most. All I read is how people have no appetite, how their taste buds have changed, how they can't keep anything down, etc. I still feel like a hog since I seem to be eating too much. I honestly eat out of hunger...amd no it's not head hunger.
  22. How far out are you?
  23. I think I'm wierd because I have not noticed any changes in taste or smell nor hunger. It's all the same. Granted I am 9 days out, but still I'm not experiencing the same as most.

  25. Has anyone experienced a change in their taste buds? If so, when did it happen? (How long after surgery?) Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App
