  1. On another note 3 months later I'm only down 13lbs but have lost 4 inches since Feb, weight isn't the only thing to go by. I would find out now if it can be taken in, if needed and how late they can possibly do it. I knew my seamstress so that helped. When I told her I'd lose about 12 lb by then she thought I was an unrealistic dieting bride and told me so. Til I told her I had surgery.
  2. Had surgery on October 3rd 251 married February 11th so a hair over 4 months. Dress was too small size 20 about a 18 reg size and too small week before wedding taken in to a reg 14 about 16 wedding dress size and I weighed about 210. Lost about 4 sizes
  3. Went to my pcp today. My high creatinine levels are not due to bypass as they have been that way on occasion previously. I have neurogenic bladder and hydronephrosis. This was from a spinal cord injury in 2007. Apparently that is a "normal" level for my condition. Good to know..
  4. Mine do not. They have some with"energy" that do and vitamin ones as well. I use just plain Walmart brand most of the time sugar free drink singles.
  5. THANK YOU. I eat about 8x a day. My dr looked at me like I was nuts. About 1100cal 30g of carbs 120-130g protein. At 800 cal felt hungry all the time and was stalled.
  6. 6 months out. Having similar issues. A1c is now 4.5 I eat about every 3 hours lowest my bs dropped was 22 amazing I was still conscious. I had low bs back in middle and high school before diabetes in my 20s. l always eat something with whole grain or plain oatmeal before I walk extensively, cut grass, yard work, vigorous exercise. Per dr orders. About 1/2 piece toast or 1/4 cup oatmeal. If not I have cold sweats dizzy sugar crash then headaches. Sigh.
  7. Dr office nut is who called with lab results. I drink about 100pz of Crystal light or water daily. Take no meds except vitamins. Have dizzy spells quite frequently and low bp. Told its not from dehydration but thats about all I know.
  8. I worked at the same place with an elderly couple for 2 years I'm 6 months out, down 60lbs since surgery 99 since I started last January. A couple weeks ago he finally says I just noticed you've lost weight, whats happened. Really took that much lol.
  9. So inspirational I'm 6 months out from 292 hw to 196 kinda stalled. Great motivation here. Way to go
  10. I did for the most part close family knew. When I got married in February 4 months out work asked because they thought I was sick beat cancer last year and at my wedding of all places someone made a rude comment about weight loss suddenly so I finally just came out with it
  11. Just had to comment here. I hated even the smell of coffee before bypass now 6 months out I crave it. Decaf sf of course. Not sure what the crave is if there is no sugar or caffeine in it or even why. Definitely my sense of smell and taste drastically changed
  12. I am 6 months and 1 week post op. I've upped protein upped cal upped exercise. Decreased cal and carbs. Switched to all natural its just not moving I hover between 199-196 gonna getting plenty of water. A bit concerned about labs they were all good except creatinine unexplainably high. I have swelling as well and wonder if that could attribute the weight variations. Nsv are continuing clothes loosening especially tops but hands legs and feet swelled.
  13. Had all my 6 months labs done even had a cholesterol check which was 114 but concerned my creatinine was way higher than normal she said normal was 17-24 mine was 27 and that's really high.
  14. Mindy78 replied to Sterlind Burke's topic in The Lounge
    Aww congratulations
  15. Slowed mine has stopped. I just keep plugging along though
  16. Awesome, how are you doing?
  17. Hw January 292 Sw October 251 Cw 196 6 months out 55 lbs sweet counting a stall that lasted a month
  18. I love this. I was always a 2 before surgery, also didn't schedule time for exercise. I realize without me time. I'm good to nobody. I schedule time to exercise and eat and what to eat. I see my husband has the same issue now as well as emotional eating. I've found packing healthy lunch and making sure he takes it helps a lot.
  19. Amazing I started at 251 in October 198 today thats 6 months so you're doing great. Mine has been totally slow but knew it going in w hormonal issues. I was at a stall from march til now up and down about 5 lbs between 206 to 201. Hit 199 on my birthday the 13th then back up to 204. Til the other day finally down lower than my lowest. Hopefully my cal increase and exercise change is working
  20. My husband, we were dating at the time opposed it, but for fears of surgery. He knew my goals when we met and was supportive. I had an ex in the past who was insecure and on a weight loss journey years ago tried to sabotage everything I did, ridiculed me, tried force feeding me by emotional abuse. It may be a phase he's going through or he may not be willing to except changes. Try to understand his feelings but don't let him pull you down. You look great btw
  21. I can eat about 2oz of chicken or fish and a couple bites of vegetables but if I drank a shake 11oz eazy yogurt 6oz very easy. I call those my sliders easy down hungry later but if I'm feeling sick it does help w getting protein in
