Burning
@@MandySneddon It's a drug like Nexium, Prilosec and Protonix. They reduce stomach acid so you won't have burning. The drug was made to help heal uclers and keep a disorder like GERD at bay. I was given a month's prescription while still in the hosp. Had to take it for one month. Am weaning off of it now. You weren't given anything like that?

October sleevers?
I had my surgery on 10/31. Had issues with extreme fatigue and weakness. I was having trouble washing my hair because it was a chore to hold my arms up that long. As far as constipation issues... none here. I do, however, drink a boatload of broth. I have a difficult time with plain Water, so i've been making chicken broth. I see some of you who have gone back to work after 4 days or so.. I was in the hosp for 3 days.. cannot imagine having to go back to work so soon. Tomorrow, I get to start soft solid food. I am very excited. Just in time for Thanksgiving.. LOL

Any October 2016 Sleevers?
Hi Everyone.. Had my surg on 10/31. Just got home from hosp this afternoon. The nausea was horrific. Also started to get a pretty good headache, which I still have. Gas was under control, as I was allowed Gas-X strips every 8 hours. Was receiving shots intravenously of Zofran daily, wearing a anti nausea patch, and today a more powerful, anti-nausea crushed tablet was added. Also very tired and weak. So for me, the worst part of this procedure was/is: 1. The anticipation of surgery... yuk 2. The nausea. Thank you again, to all who helped me get through this... I'm so glad it is over. Just pray this nausea goes away! Good Luck to all us, going forward!

Any October 2016 Sleevers?
Not really. They had pain medicine in my IV. I was uncomfortable in general, but walking helped with the gas issues. It was the next two days when I got home that were the worst. But, by the third day post-op, I was feeling much better. was it the gas or some other issues two days out?

Any October 2016 Sleevers?
Okay, now It's all real. Just got "the call" from the hosp telling me what time to be there and all of the specifics that go along with that. Someone who's had this done already.. please tell me, how did you feel when you first woke up?

Any October 2016 Sleevers?
@@lowbmi65 Thank you! I'm "you know whatting" a pickle right now. Halloween is my day. I'm so worried about this surgery because I have had a few bouts of Laryngospasm. It began after the removal of my thyroid. If it happens during surgery and they cannot break it, my surgeon told me the worst case scenario is a tracheotomy.
