  1. You look great! Congrats! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  2. I actually just asked my nut this, as my pre and post op diets are high in sugar free/sugar substitutes. He basically said artificial sweeteners are fine in moderation. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  3. I would suggest Biotin for your hair. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a brand as I am still pre-op and haven't got my Vitamins yet. My nut recommended Tums Ultra with Calcium to get my calcium in. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

  14. I've heard that with VSG and RNY the part of the stomach that produces the hunger hormone gets cut off/so much of your stomach is removed that the hunger hormones are drastically reduced. I've also heard that hunger comes back over time (stomach/hormones adjusting to the proceedure?). It seems like everyone may have a different experience. 15. I can't help with taste because I have yet to try any. But I thought I would add that my nut requests that any Protein shake source be whey protein. He gave several examples of brands, so don't give up on whey protein just yet, especially if your doc/nut reccomends whey protein sources like mine does. 16. I had several ekgs lately that all came back abnormal. Had a stress test and some bloodwork and my heart turned out to be fine. They don't know what's causing my ekg to go all wonkey. Just know, apparently it's not just yout heart that can make these tests go wrong. Even though they don't know what's wrong, they seem to think everything is just fine. 17. Congrats on your approval and getting your surgery date! Evreryone's pre-op diet is different. You may need to be more specific. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  18. Congrats on your clearance! Best of luck with the endoscopy and reassesment! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  19. I'm also planning on having the sleeve. My doctor advised no caffine for 6 months. The caffine quickly metabolizes and can cause dehydration. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  20. Your beginning stats are close to mine! I'm 5'5" and 235.8lbs (weighed in at my doctor's office this morning!). Hope I look as good as you once I'm 6mo down the road! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  21. Congrats on getting through the pre op system. Best of luck with your upcoming surgery! Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  22. I read online it can take up to 20 days for nicotine and continine (what nicotine metabolizes into) to fully leave your system. Be wary of e cigs, they can contain nicotine too. Today, the nurse told me to wait 2 weeks to have my blood tests done so that the nicotine would be out of my system. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  23. My husband and I are going through the process together. We're both having the sleeve done. Neither of us have our surgery dates yet. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  24. Welcome! Congrats on the surgery and good luck on the rest of your journey. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
  25. I don't like the idea of my stomach and some of my intestines just floating around in my abdominal cavity. I feel like they would eventually rot or decompose or something. Which I honestly know can't be true if they can reverse the surgery, but it still weirds me out. Plus, from what I've seen (which is really not that much) it's harder to recover from and has more chances for complication. Maybe I'm misinformed? Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
