  1. Is it real hunger or head hunger? Im about 3 months post, too. When im truly hungry, i get light headed. I try not to get to that point by eating every 3 to 4 hours and drinking tons of water. Head hunger hits me when im in a funky mood or im bored. I just try to talk mysekf out of it and distract myself with other things. If you are exercising regularly, you need 1000 calories or more. Im getting there, but mostly 900 calorie days at most.
  2. I count it as 20 grams not 30 per scoop
  3. Im almost 3 mos pot op, im paranoid about stretching my stomach. There have been a few times where i ate until i was really full, not sick, but full. Then i get worried and wonder if i need to do fluids for a day to make up for it and have done that. Am i being too worried or not. I know to eat until satisfied and not stuffed. Ive lost weight steadily and dont want to eff up.
  4. Thats probably Ketosis.
  5. Check around for online support groups. There are some on FB among other places. Getting on My BariatricPal every day helps.
  6. I'm 7 weeks out and my weight will go up and down every day so I stopped wishing daily. I'm on a stall now. I know it will get better. You didn't gain weight all at once so you can't lose it all at once. Cut yourself some slack. Also taking measurements has been a great motivator for me when the scale is not!
  7. I have sleep apnea and asthma. I have had scary breathing problems with past medical procedures so when it came time for my EGD and VSG I told the anesthesiologist ahead of time. They intabated me for the EGD from the get go and no problems. Same with the surgery. No problems. If you do need a CPAP, then by all means , use it. They are a bitch at firs5, but then they make a world of difference! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  8. My BMI was 35two weeks b4 surgery. My surgery was 1/3. My BMI is now 31. Wish I was losing more, but I have to be patient and that's not my strength. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  9. If you get desperate, there is an OTC suppository you can use safely. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  10. I used them crushed as breading so no judgement here. I'd say chew the hell out of one before awallowing. Then wait to see how you feel. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  12. Biotin does help but it takes a month or so for it to really show. Make sure you wash it with a sulfate free shampoo or cleansing conditioner. Makes a difference. I have fine hair and lost some due to thyroid problems. Ask your stylist for suggestions. Biolage cleansing conditioner for fine hair seems to work for me. When Ulta runs a sake I stock up. I used to use cheaper stuff, but it made a noticeable difference and was worth it for me. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  13. KARMA! exfoliating helps the skin too. Spanx will be your best friend. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm 4 days post and one incision is still draining. It does not smell bad or look like infection, but I was wondering if the blood thinner shots my doc put me on are causing it. I'm also menstrual (i know TMI) and should have been done days ago. Maybe that's just stress? Should I call the office on Monday or is it nothing? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  15. Hi All, I don't remember who posted her struggle with constipation, but I wanted to share what helped me. My surgery was 3 days ago. I was able to stop the pain med less than 48 hrs later. However the constipation and pain that went with it was real yesterday morning. I walked and walked and breathed through the pain. I called my doctors office after about 3 hours. Their advice was glycerine suppositories. I have never used anything like that, but I was desperate! Ya know, it worked in about 15 minutes! Sorry if this is TMI but I think it might help someone else. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  22. My stomach noises are so loud that my dogs look at me funny! Can't watch TV because every commercial is about food and I can't go on FB because everyone is posting freaking recipes. I'm tired of liquid Protein. I got some no salt broth and added Protein powder and seasonings, but it's still bland. I'm gonna miss spicy food! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  25. I had to do a week of 1 high Protein low carb meal and Protein shakes. This week, it's all liquid Protein. My surgery is Tuesday and my BMI was 35. My doc makes everyone who has a lower BMI do this. Patients with higher BMI's start 4 weeks out. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
