  14. If you're needing a quick snack, my doc says a tablespoon of Peanut Butter is fine. I tried the PB2 and if you're a peanut butter lover like me, I think you'll agree it tastes like crap. Seriously I cannot stand the taste of powdered peanut butter it's no wonder there's less sugar and fat. I would rather not have PB at all if I could only have the powdered stuff. I've been eating a tablespoon every other day the last two weeks and I'm 5 weeks post op. It sat kind of heavy when I first tried it so just listen to your doc. If they say it's ok then go for it. What they don't want is you eating half a container in a day (yeah super gross not sure how anyone pre or post op could do that) Sent from my HTC6500LVW using the BariatricPal App That looks so so good Sent from my HTC6500LVW using the BariatricPal App

  16. I'm on medical cannabis. You only have to stop smoking nicotine because it causes issues with blood pressure. I never had to stop cannabis, smoked it right before I checked in the hospital last Tuesday and vaped it in my hospital bathroom during shower time since they wouldn't let me outside. Everything perfectly ok. Keep smoking your cannabis it's all good. It was the first thing I asked when they said at my first nutritional appointment that we had to stop smoking. Nicotine only. 17. I do. My BMI was only 38 with 2 co-morbidity issues. I'm sure you'll be approved, you're over a 40 BMI should be no problem. I didn't get my approval letter until 3 days before my scheduled surgery, which I had on 10/4. Don't worry! Sent from my HTC6500LVW using the BariatricPal App

  19. I was sleeved on Oct. 4th too! I'm able to get all my Protein shakes in plus a yogurt, broth and Water. It takes me over an hour to finish each shake but I get through it. Nice to know there's some sleeve sisters out there! Sent from my HTC6500LVW using the BariatricPal App
  20. Usually they go with your weight at the first appointment. My surgeon team expected me to lose weight before surgery on the two week liquid diet. I too was concerned about my BMI but for my surgeon, approval for the surgery was based on the first weigh in. Just ask them at your first appointment I'm 9 days post op and since the beginning of this journey (seeing the surgeon back in June) I've lost a total of 25 lbs, only 10 of it is post op.
