  1. Hey how are you feeling? I know we both got sleeved on October 6th. I am on to full liquids but still not reaching my Protein or Fluid intake goals. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. I can eat about 4oz of yogurt in one sitting then I'm full. I'm trying to do that about six times a day small amounts more frequently. Im getting about 32oz of Water daily. Just wondering how you are doing being as though we were sleeved the same day? Hope all is well. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App Hey!! I'm feeling good even though I'm sooo not meeting my protein goals yet. I notice I can take in more each day. I'm not in pain and I've been out and about. I hate the taste of my protein shakes now so I've ordered some from the Bariatric Advantage website to see if they have something I like. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Have you had your follow up yet?Monday is my follow up. When's yours? I've been adding a tablespoon of unflavored protein to every thing. Well I try... I'm down almost 30lbs since starting the preop diet. So hey it works for me! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App That's great! I'm down 34lbs since pre op too. My follow up is 10/26. That sounds like a plan. I might have to try that. I'm still getting use to how quick I get full. No pain or discomfort though.Getting full so fast is a really crazy feeling... After 4oz of anything I'm about to burst. I'm finally starting to understand what my full feels like. Congrats on the weight loss Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

  3. I am like the total opposite. I have about 3-4 bm a day. No pain and nothing seeming abnormal just frequent bathroom time.... Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  4. I am one week and two days out. I agree completely with what @@lowbmi65 said. The recovery has not been near what I thought it would be. Monday was six days out and I went to my sons last Jr high football game. I'm still a bit sore, but more like muscle soreness. Rocking out the puréed foods. So thankful for the opportunity to better my health. You've got this!!! Go for it!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Jesus loves you!!! Agreed! I had surgery on 10/5 and went to my daughter's soccer game on 10/8. 8 days out now and feeling great. Meeting Protein and hydration goals and went for a 3 mile walk today (followed by some nice time on the couch with Netflix). Sending thoughts, prayers and good wishes to everyone with surgery on the horizon! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Just adding to the positivity... I'm 8 days out and feeling good. Took my son to a pumpkin patch at 4 days post op. Struggling to get in my liquids and protein but making it work. Looking forward to pureed soon to start getting my protein from other sources. 6. It's so tempting to try and skip ahead. I feel you. The hospital made me a banana milkshake the second day after my surgery. It was the best thing I've ever tasted. I was sleeved 2 days before you and I've been drinking shakes, thin Soups, yoghurt etc since day 2. Had no problems. I don't know what I'd do having to be on clear liquids for so long, so you're doing awesome. I've lost 8 pounds since surgery (I'm 6 days post op). Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I have been on a liquids diet since 2 weeks before the surgery. Idk how I'm surviving. I just want regular food. I know i could easily get in my Protein with real food like yogurt, cottage cheese etc. It's just getting so difficult. Tong hard not to skip ahead.... Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  7. Yes The diets are all very different. Thursday I go to full liquids. Then next wk pureed, the following week soft foods Then finally the next wk is whatever I can tolerate. I've been very particular about following my surgeon's orders. I never wanted to deviate. I'm not one of those ppl who gets surgery Then ask when can I have pizza. I just had a few tsp of tomato soup with some Protein added in. It was a good change of pace. Then I went back to clears.... Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  8. I just had popsicle and couldn't believe how helpful it was. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I just had my husband go out and get popsicles. They worked better than anything else I've been trying and I actually feel a little full. My full liquids start Thursday. But I think I just needed something other than clear liquids... Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  10. I'm in clear liquid stage and basically just asked the same question. I'm struggling with the liquids. I feel myself getting dehydrated so I had to add something different & I chose tomato Soup. I know some will not agree but I'd rather get in some kind of Fluid versus none. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  11. I am 4days post op. I had 1/4 cup of tomato Soup didn't really finish that. I'm supposed to do Clear liquids but I feel myself getting dehydrated so I had to do something else to get in some sort of fluids. Just looking to see what everyone else's. Post op sort consist of? I know i shouldn't deviate but I felt myself getting dehydrated. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  12. I was sleeved Oct 6th. I'm on Clear Liquids I think until Thursday or Friday. But I really feel like i could tolerate yogurt, Apple sauce, and some other full liquid stuff. But I'm sticking to the plan. I keep having stomach spasms. I assume this is normal. How is everyone else doing?? I haven't weighed myself... Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  13. I had a hernia when I had my surgery and they fixed it while they were in there. He said it would give you manger issues if they didn't. Sent from my VS985 4G using the BariatricPal App I was sleeved Oct 6th. But he didn't fix my hernia. He said I have to come back in 9 months to get it fixed. He said my hernia was attached to tissue and was a bigger job than expected so it has to wait. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  14. I was sleeved October 6th as well. I can't even imagine having to leave the day of. I got out yesterday. I had a rough 3 days, Terrible dry heaving. I mean uncontrollable painful bouts of nausea and dry heaving, vomiting bile. I was really scared. Thankfully the dry heaving has stopped. But I have really bad pain in some areas. I do experience a pain at the top of my stomach every time I drink something I can't figure out what this is. I assume it will pass. Also I use Isopure clear grape drink and mix it with the g2 grape flavored Gatorade. I can't even taste the Protein taste just like gatorade. I long for the day when I wake up and just feel normal again. I know it's a process... But I can't hemp but feel regret as I go through these difficult days. I have my son at home as well... He's about 2.5 years old. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I got the Isopure grape drink. Its a clear liquid. I'm 3 days post op. I mix half of it with gatorade grape g2 and it gives me my ounces and Protein. You can't taste the Protein Drink just taste like gatorade. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  16. So I am finally sleeved. Not sure what I feel about it just yet. I've had a rough 3 days. I had excruciating dry heaving episodes immediately following surgery. They tried zofran, phenegran, suppositories, scope patch, and reglan. For at least 24 hours I was vomiting bile. I really started to think wtf did i do? It was very scary. They reassured me that it was all normal and happens to some people. Finally yesterday I stopped dry heaving and was able to Finally get my leak test and get sent home. Otherwise I am tolerating liquids, taking in my Protein slowly but surely. I have one question tho, at the top of my stomach when I swallow liquids I get this tight feeling, it's painful at times. I can't differentiate what this feeling is. If it's gas, pain, or something abnormal... Anyone experience this? I assume it's something that will pass eventually. 18. Leaving for the hospital right now..... Omg I have to admit I've talked my out of this surgery at least 15 times in the last hour. This is so much more scarier than I'd ever imagined. I know i won't regret it but wow these emotions are intense. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  19. Hi all... Going in tm at 5am. Surgery at 730am. I've been really emotional today. Thinking about all that I want to accomplish... Its a lot more emotional than I thought it'd be. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App

  23. You will need protein to burn fat. They do the liquid diet so u lose some weight and shrink your liver prior to surgery. Definitely try the isopure! Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  24. I am going to give a really honest and respectful response. I don't think it's a lack of motivation. You clearly have a disorder if you were prescribed medication for it before. Disorders don't just go away bc they remove half your stomach. I am a mental health counselor and have a master's degree. So I'm not just spewing uneducated opinions. You need counseling to restructure the relationship you have with food. You can take all the medication you want, you can get the surgery 100 times if you don't work on the cognitive part of the process you'll continue to backslide. I really hope you understand this and go speak with a counselor not just the psychiatrist. Please let me know how you're doing. Good luck to you. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
  25. I was diagnosed a sleep apnea like a month ago and my surgery is next week. It didn't delay anything. I stopped breathing 147 times an hour but mine is super severe apparently. Sent from my LGLS770 using the BariatricPal App
