  1. Hi everyone! I will be 70 in September so I will go ahead and join your group. Sounds like a good bunch of folks here. I am 5 months outh. Had RNY Nov 1, 2016 at Viera Hospital, Dr. Allison. I have been very happy with the results. I have not been losing lately but I know it's my own fault.
  2. Djomhr Oh I am relieved to hear it's not just me. I had bypass Nov 1, 2016 and. Have been stalled for about 3 weeks. I need something to shake me loose. Lost about 35 pounds so far. Still have a long way to go. Thanks for your input. Your posts are always so informative and encouraging.
  3. I am 69 and had my bypass done Nov 1, 2016. I am very glad I did. Great Surgeon and no problems. Go for it.
  4. 1 month post bypass and getting pains across my upper chest after I eat. I am in the mushy stage. What am I doing wrong?
  5. Tomorrow morning is my day!
  6. Straws induce air into your stomach. Or so I am told.
  7. I'm with you krodtek. My surgery is on the 1st and I am so eager to be rid of the insulin pump and a ton of other meds.
  8. Sorry I misunderstood .
  9. DelRey310 congrats! It's going to get better. I'm told if we just keep moving. Easier said than done when you're in pain no doubt. Please keep us posted. I hope you will feel much better very soon . God bless.
  10. Yeah Sheri! Happy to hear you are home. Hang in there I hear it gets better soon! Just think about how great it will be to give up insulin altogether! I can't wait to be rid of my pump. God bless you. Keep us posted I am scheduled November 1
  11. Check out November RNY buddies 2016 for more posts for November surgery there.
  12. I'm in November buddies. My surgery is November 1st just two more days. I have been on a two week liquid diet. Not as bad as I expected. My husband has been tremendously supportive. He doesn't eat around me. The thing for me is to keep busy. I'm a "boredom" eater. The great news?....I am already cutting BP medication dosages in half!.....insulin had to be reduced by 30% off a diuretic all together. This is going to be sooo worth it. Not to mention how great we will feel and look!! My surgery will be in Viera Florida. Any other Florida people? My prayer is that we all succeed in our goal to be healthier. God Bless.
  13. Call your Dr office they should know where to get one
  14. Ok I've made it one week on my 2 week liquid diet. Have my pre-op visit with Dr Allison tomorrow. Time is moving so fast, or so it seems. There are many of us going in the first week of November. Can you believe it, we're almost there!
  15. Lulu22 I am scheduled for Nov 1st and I am actually surprised I have made it this far on the liquid diet. This is the fourth day and I've have some low blood sugar issues but otherwise feeling like I'm going to make it. How are you doing?
  16. Congrats wvtrap[emoji108][emoji122]???? just a week after my surgery
  17. I have my date Nov 1 for my RNY. I started my two week liquid diet today. I am so afraid I won't be able to do this for two weeks. I have an appointment with my nut and one with my surgeon next week and that's it! Wow
  18. Beautiful indeed! Congratulations [emoji324]
