  1. Just an update the drain is gone and now I have a blood clot in the right upper arm from the IV it is superficial but it is also extensive so awaiting to game plan for that. Just a FYI the drain being removed tugged at first and was just uncomfortable and not painful in case others are wondering in case they wake up with one. Have a great day!
  2. Its always nice to know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that there are others out there that truly relate to what you are going thru am thankful I came across this website and found such a supportive group
  3. think that this is a great idea
  4. I have done nothing but cry all day so far. I've been hurting and its my bday and I want to feel normal desperately. Been reading others comments and its assuring that this will all pass, but I am done with the crying and the pain and just not being ME. Im so glad that someone mentioned food and smells, OMG how horrible everything tastes and odors are completely annoying. Ive walked this morning and try to keep moving but I am completely depressed. UGH
  5. I was sleeved from band on 08/09/16. Having a tough time but doing well considering the complications some have undergone. Just wanted this pain to go away.
  6. Yeah am looking for tips and length of stay with pain as medications prescribed to me make me feel more unwell. I have the binder and a JP drain and try to move as much as I can. Ideas on how long I will be uncomfortable would be great I know that the healing is different for everyone.
  7. I had a bad to sleeve done on 08/09/2016. My surgeon and I discussed the possibility of needing two procedures, a JP drain, and other outcomes. They were able to all in one but surgery took longer than anticipate and they were able to repair a ventral hernia as well. Post operative I had the worst pain possible and the Lap Band was a breeze I woke up utterly shocked at the amount of pain I was having. From the ports really and not the stomach. I was up and walking a few hours after they got me to the floor and a slug of pain medication thru the IV. But I continue to struggle with the pain and keep myself up and walking every hour I am awake just to keep moving and did dishes tonight. I stayed in hospital for 4 days as I had pain that was unrelenting and the following morning had some fever so they thought it best to keep an eye on me. Left there Friday morning and been trying to cope with pain. I had asked for extended time off as I have the time and am grateful that I have it. Can only hope that others experiences are great and having them up and running. I do have a JP drain due to the extensive time in surgery an scar tissue they had to dig thru. I am hoping to get that removed this week.
