  1. I have been denied twice. The approving insurance kept telling me I need to do more, that I had my co-mormid medical conditions were under control with meds. She had to insert that she was also heavy. That there are so many medical problems. I pulled a copy of my insurance to check what my requirements were. I compared that with what the denial said is my requirements. Well guess what? They were different. I contacted my HR dept. They are make calls on my behalf. I should here from them next week. Don't give up. Let your doctor and your HR dept help you. You can also file an appeal. Cocoon to Butterfly

Prayers it will get approved. Cocoon to Butterfly

  13. Do they give a reason for their decision that you're "not medically appropriate"? Im told that insurance companies often play a wording "game" and you just have to stay persistent and you'll get your approval. I request approval next month so any info helps. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App No did not give any other reason. Cocoon to Butterfly

  23. I received my last approval for all my requirements. It will now be in the hands of the insurance. Then a surgery date. I am looking forward to be on the Losers Bench. Holding at 235. My sleeve's name will be "Gidget". Cocoon to Butterfly
  24. I like the idea of naming my sleeve. I have not had my surgey yet but thought this is the best way to identify my new sleeve instead of saying my stomach or my sleeve. Gidget is her name. Gidget is a contraction of "girl midget," which is why it went on to be used to describe small female surfers. Cocoon to Butterfly
