  1. I will be thinking and praying for you and your family during this hard time tutornmom. I got my date for surgery 9/9 at 10:30 am. Insurance still hasn't come back yet with the approval but I am waiting. I have pre op tomorrow morning and then still wait, they can take up to 30 days and that will bring me to the day before surgery, so lets hope for a good out come. Please pray for my husbands support. He really doesn't want me to do this and I feel like it is the right thing for me. There is no real comprimise in this situation, so I'm a little stuck. We will be fine, we have a strong marriage but I can feel the distance and I don't like it. Good luck to all of you. God Bless
  2. I have my date 9/9 but still waiting for the insurance approval. Cross your fingers everyone
  3. I am happy I found this, I haven't had mine yet, although I have a date 9/9. I am having problems with my husband being supportive and this is damping my excitement, but this is helping. Thank you
  4. I havent been banded yet, but I have had 3 c sections. Every one of them got easier then the last. I had my galblater out lapriscopically and was a piece of cake compared to the c sections. I have no worries about the lap band. Good luck
  5. I am having the same problem. But my husband doesn't have a weight problem. He is dead set against me having the surgery and when we went to see the surgen and dietisian he only came out feeling stronger about it. He says that if you have to change your eatting habits and exercise anyways then why have the surgery. I can't talk him into it. I'm holding strong but feel a bit of guilt about it too. I don't want to do something he is unhappy with but I want to do this for me too. Good luck with yours
  6. I am hoping I will be able to eat anything but less of it when I get banded. I can't wait to start my new life. I hope my expectations aren't to high.
  7. my dr said the same thing, i-2 pounds a week but I have heard it depends on you, what you eat and how much you exercise.

  11. This all sounds like something I went through a while ago. But I didn't know these people at all. I posted a forum on My space looking to have adult conversation with people who wanted to lose weight and needed some incoragement- like myself. In the first 5 hours I was called fat and lazy, the pics of my kids on my profile were made fun of and they all acted like they were doing me a favor. They claimed they new what I was going through but they did it the right way--they lost 30-35 pounds maybe. They were so mean and hateful. Finally a woman e mailed me directly and told me about this site. I have never been happier. I can't wait to get the surgery, and start living life again. Good luck and do what is best for you.
