  1. I'm glad that you posted this. My parents, husband, siblings, and boss know. I've decided to announce it as me making a huge life change without being specific. My surgery is on Thursday so I haven't gotten to the latter part yet so who knows how it will go. Co-workers only know that I'm taking leave for a couple of weeks. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  2. I was so excited for this. Now that i've gotten so close to surgery date (Thursday Aug 4), i'm getting really nervous. I have no idea what the hell triggered this nervousness. And I feel like it has nothing to do with food. Its a big surgery and i've never had a big surgery like this. Anyone else feel like this? How did you get over it? Any methods to get over it?
  3. I'll go by torani tomorrow. They are one town away and I'm sure they have a shop! I'll check their website beforehand. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  4. Does anyone know if you can get the torani sugar free flavorings in small bottles instead of the huge bottles I'm finding at the store? I tried amazon and they only sell them by the big bottles as well but in a variety pack. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  5. It doesn't I finally just talked to someone. August 4th it is! I'm excited! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  6. Thanks everyone. I've already alerted them. Good to know it shouldn't hinder my surgery. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  7. I am 4 days until surgery and I went into anaphylactic shock last night from antibiotics that I was never allergic to before. I'm fine now. Ran around doing stuff all day. I'm just scared that they aren't going to allow me to do surgery because of it. I've worked so damn hard to get where I am now. I'm down almost 20 lbs in the last week and a half on the liquid diet. Did anything like this happen to anyone else pre-op? What was the outcome? ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  8. I know the feeling, Cruz I've lived it too. Im already extremely caustious when dealing with strangers. As well as the weight loss I'm scared and excited to see how my interactions with people change. Its hard for me to forgive so if you treated me like crap at my heaviest, I want you keep treating me like crap when you think Im socially acceptable...sounds crazy I know.Me too. I am getting mentally prepared to call people on their bullshit (I'm just that type of person) when they talk to me or invite me out or try to include me when they never did before. I hate that passionately. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  9. I was told that this drastically changes your hormones all of a sudden with so many changes and things and so everything can be changed after surgery. I would still ask your surgeon. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  10. Congratulations! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  11. I am 8 days pre-op and I'm not as much nervous as excited. Plus I can't wait for the time off work! ???? The liquid diet has me feeling great. I really can't wait to do this! #noregrets ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  12. I had the 6 month pre-op weigh ins and such that are required by most insurances. Then my surgeon got into an accident and was out for a while. All in all, consult was Feb 17 and surgery is Aug 4. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  13. My NUT told me to avoid all refined and natural sugars because they indefinitely cause dumping. She told me never to blend fruits or veggies with my Protein shakes because they add calories. I think she said that to scare me out of sugar altogether because I'm finding that some of the things she told me aren't true by talking to my doctor and people who have gone through it firsthand. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  14. You're telling me. All of a sudden it's coming quickly. 8/4 surgery date. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  15. Is that a brand of shake? ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  16. Massage! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  17. Congrats!!! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  18. I've been on mine as well. I'm visibly taking in more liquids than I used to. I have the sudden urge to pee as well but I feel it's because I'm intaking more liquid than food to maintain satiety so I chug some and then it all gets to my bladder at once. Plus, I imagine we are flushing some toxins out of our bodies that we didnt know we had. Purging bad stuff will make you pee as well. Kind of like when you're sick. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  19. I've been going through the same thing since last November but it pays off! I was approved and am scheduled for surgery Aug 4 (although there was a setback because my surgeon got into a skiing accident and was out for a month and a half) so he was backed up. I was supposed to have been able to have surgery a month ago. It's soooooo worth it! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  20. Best wishes! You got this! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  21. Congrats! May I ask how much you've lost since your surgery? ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  22. Nice thanks. Seems like unjury is a good brand of powder. I'm going to try it. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  23. Anyone know of a good unflavored shake that is truly unflavored? I bought a couple and they have this weird vanillaish flavor. It's nasty. I want savory to add to pureed boiled Beans (I can't do chicken broth every minute of my life) and I can't do it with this powder. Any suggestions? ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  24. I got Mio. They have many flavors and they all taste great, except for the coffee one. I can't seem to drink Water either but I'm going through 50oz of water in a half day by adding mio. You can also infuse your water with cucumber, lemon, mint, etc. ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
  25. I'm August 4th! ~~ LadyDarkness415 ~~
