Thinking about SLEEVE...is this a regret?
I haven't had any regrets. I didn't have any of the nausea/vomiting that some people have after surgery, so I am sure that helped. I wish my legs looked better, but I wished they looked better when I was 100+ pounds heavier also.

LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE
I bombed in the last challenge. I couldn't remember to weigh myself on vacation. I'm glad to see a new challenge starting this week. Thank you!

SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
I am 188.4 today, 6/23. I will be leaving Sunday for my road trip and checking my weight as I go. Thankfully most hotels have fitness rooms or pools, so I shouldn't have trouble getting exercise.

Surgery day questions
I didn't need any pre op testing the morning of surgery. They did ask about pregnancy, but my tubes were tied about 17 years ago, so testing wasn't needed. I think it is just to be sure you are on time, registered, changed, and iv started whenever your doctor is ready. I did have to meet the anesthesiologist during the wait time. Good luck!

restaurants?
I always order a meal and take the leftovers home. I usually get three or four meals from any dinner out. I will be on a long road trip and plan to share meals with my family because we won't be at home to eat leftovers.

SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
I have to make a small goal for this challenge since five and a half weeks I will be on the road. I'm not sure what a good weight will be since I have been losing slowly lately. I figure after the trip it will take me a week or two to lose the water weight that comes with travel. Current weigh 190 Goal weight 184

SAIL INTO SUMMER CHALLENGE
I'm glad you are feeling well after your surgery. Hopefully that will continue. I will be on a five week road trip during the challenge, so hopefully this will be a good way to keep my weight from going up while I am having to eat out so often. I am definitely taking my scale with me. I don't want to come home and find out I gained too much.

HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!
My weight for 6/2 is 191.4. I didn't reach my goal, but I wasn't sure I would get this far in the challenge, so it's a win! Thank you Dashofpixiedust8. I hope there is a new challenge starting soon.

I'll ask my NUT but...
I was on a full regular diet by that time and I believe fish was allowed at week 3-4. I don't know about the nutrition content of chowder, but you shouldn't have any trouble eating it. I tried right from the beginning to stay away from high calorie and fat foods because I didn't want to fall into the habit of a little bit being ok. I know where that led me before.

Stall at 8 months WTH
I am also eight months, and I was noticing a very slow losing/stall. I was eating about 700 calories. I talked to my surgeon last month about adding in another meal because I am on a one shake and three meals with no snacks plan. He agreed that my nutrition stats were good but I needed more calories. I am now eating about 800-900 and losing more. I am trying to increase my calories but not the carbs and it is working for me.

Portions
Those containers are available at my local Walmart in the aisle with little Dixie cups and plastic silverware. It is about $3.50 for 50 containers and lids. That is how I portioned my food in the beginning, but not in bulk because that would have all been tossed before I could use it.

Did anyone receive a card to order from kid menu?
We had a group meeting before surgery where they gave us the cards. What most people have said is that if a restaurant allows you to order from the kids menu then they don't care about the card. Places that don't allow that tend to not care that you have a card because it isn't something that they allow. Personally I don't tell people about my surgery so I wouldn't use the card. I order a meal and take my leftovers home for another meal (usually two or three).

Which Foods Can’t You Eat Now?
I am only 7 months post op, but I have been able to eat all foods without any problems. I don't eat seafood, but I have had all meats, lots of veggies and salads. I don't eat any rice or pasta, and very limited bread products.

Barium Swallow test?
I had the upper gi before surgery. I was lucky my surgeon checks for leaks while you are in surgery, so I didn't need the leak test on the day after surgery.

What is included in the 64+ ounces of fluid each day?
My office has no rule like this. As long as we get 64 oz or more, we are meeting our goal.

What's your water drinking schedule?
It gets easier with time.

What's your water drinking schedule?
My surgeon's office only allows for three meals a day and no snacks. I start my day with a protein shake. I have my first meal and then 30 minutes later start a bottle of water and don't let myself have my second meal until the water is gone and I have waited at least the half hour. One bottle of water after each meal and an additional four oz get me to my 64 oz by the end of the day.
