  1. I was scared to death too. I had never had surgery in my life. I had the same thoughts, even while they were wheeling me down to surgery. I have to say that it was very easy. I had a little discomfort after surgery (I can't describe it as pain.) I was off of work for 4 days. I had the surgery on a Tuesday and I returned the following Monday. I had my first fill today and I've lost 20.5 pounds so far. Please keep the faith. I already feel so much better.
  2. I was banded on 2/26. I never took any pain medication (unless you count Tylenol. I barely made it through the clear liquid phase, but now I'm on full liquids. I'm looking forward to Tuesday and mushy foods. I took a shower on Day 2. Can't take a bath yet. Most of my bandages have fallen off (except the one over the port). I slept on my back (propped up with big pillows) for the first few days. Now I'm sleeping on my back, side, stomach (or wherever I end up.)
  3. I'm being banded on February 26th also by Dr. St. Laurent in Houston. I'm excited but nervous
