  1. How long is your pre op diet?? Mines was 2 weeks liquid diet.... with my experience it got harder each day then it got easier each day lol its a difficult process but in the end its all worth it. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Every dietitian has different plans. Although im allowed to eat it. I dont plan on making it a common thing, it gets me full way too quick Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  3. Yeah as of now i don't recommend it.... that was my first time having bread and it got me full way too quick and i didn't benefit off it really. I could've wasted that space in my stomach on a Protein shake. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  4. 25 days ago on July 7th on morning of surgery i weighed in at 428.8 pounds. As of this morning i am 399.8 (After I Ate Breakfast). Everyone consider 50 or 100 pounds a big milestone for them..... but although i only lost 29 pounds this is huge for me, mentally that is. Mentally because me being over 400 pounds was the deciding factor of me getting the surgery. For the past 3 years i was up and down between 400-430 and got as high as 454 and got as low as 409 before but always gained it back. At the time i entered the 400s i was only 18 (Way Too Young) so a decision had to be made to save my life and better my life and so far its the best decision i made. Although we all have more restraint with the way our stomachs are changed, we still have to have that same discipline. Still have to have to have the same discipline to get up and move everyday and go work out and have the discipline to not eat this and eat that instead. We still have to do the same stuff that people who didn't have the surgery have to do. So if a so called friend-family member every tell you that you took the easy way out or you are too lazy to lose it on your own just ignore them, or do what i did and cut them off, on this journey you don't need that negative energy around you, you need positive vibes and people that will motivate you. 5. Im finding out every dietitian has different plans... everyone is saying bread is a nono for them but i was allowed it after 4 weeks and my weight has still been dropping pretty good. Im glad i dont have the strict diet everyone else has. I hit it stall for 2 weeks (because i wasnt eating) soon as i upped my calories and Protein my weight started dropping. I just follow my book to the T and does everything it says. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  6. First recipe i came up with, simple but the best thing I've eaten so far. Just toast spreaded with ricotta cheese 1 piece of turkey bacon cut in half and an egg with ketchup for added flavor... do you guys think the ketchup will do me any harm weight loss wise?? 7. My diet advances tomorrow on 31st (24th Day) and I'm allowed some new foods. Who knows some good lean low fat recipes that consists of these foods? Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  8. Down 177lbs in 6months now. The best advice i can give is follow your surgeons orders to a T. Drink lots of Water and cut out all carbs and sugars. I pretty much eat Proteins and veggies. I also exercise pretty much every single day. I hope to hit my goal weight by my one year anniversary.Where do you get your proteins from and what type of exercise do you do and how long? 9. Bro, you lost 104 pounds in 3 months. that's motivating as f**k. I'm happy for you and hopefully I can achieve the same success. I'm 18 days post op and down 25 pounds so far.... any tips you can give me?

  12. Good feeling that I'm finally able to get some exercise in. Cant do close to what i was able to do prior to surgery but I'm back climbing and body is still healing. Best advice i was given from my bariatric pals was take your time and don't rush back into working out. Because i worked out 7 days after surgery and it was the worse mistake. Had severe stomach pains (almost thought i needed to go to the ER) and headaches and i felt drained and nauseated. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  13. It's gone be ok I have mines Aug25 what u can tell what to expect soon as I wake up Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App You can expect hella pain when you wake up. Or i guess it pretty much depends, everybody experience is different Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  14. im not trying to be a gloomy gus and it may not happen this way to you but I lost 20 lbs in two weeks also and now 6 weeks out and for the past month I only have lost 10 lbs I hear that this is normal so don't be upset if it slows down, it will start back upYeah i heard its normal and im totally prepared for it, its called a stall i believe. When the time come when the scale reads the same for 2 weeks im gonna stay off the scale for 3 weeks and let it pass. I heard how long the stall lasts depends on how the person handles it. 15. I told my self before i had surgery, the day i get back home from the hospital I'm hitting the gym. Sadly, that didn't happen i totally under estimated the pain lol. I was laid up for 6 days, told my self as soon as i get back mobile and the pain is gone and this drain is out of my stomach I'm hitting the gym. After the pain was gone then i went to my 1 week post-op appointment... BOOM... i catch a cold sore throat and a fever and back laid up on bed rest. I was depressed on how my success will be and how much weight i will lose due to my inactivity. But gladly, the weight has been losing it self and at a satisfying rate and i couldn't be happier. It just show me that my results will be much better when i get back in the gym and start working out. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I wait like 45 seconds to a Minute between each bite, im only 12 days post op tho so i haven't really ate any real food yet lol. But i can relate tho, i usually cook my food to a high temp to discipline me from eating too fast. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  17. Wow, 10 months Post Op and almost 200lbs gone?? Those are very motivating numbers!!! Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  18. Thats good to hear. Because the way i feel, i want as much restraint as possible. How far out are you? Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  19. Been hearing about a lot of different sleeve stories. And I'm curious about what others people sleeve can handle that they thought couldn't, and what people's sleeve can't handle that they thought would be able to. Been hearing about people able to drink regular pop and eat high in calorie/fat fried foods early-on without experiencing dumping syndrome or anything. How restricted is your sleeve and how far out did you realize it? Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App

  21. I would be sarcastic and say (*eats popcorn) to show you all how entertained i am by the hilarious responses of this thread. But I'm 1 week post op and my sleeve just won't allow it Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  22. I know, i had my 1 week post op appointment today. Lost 12 pounds from my surgery weight. Jumped from 428.8 to 416 in 7 days.... scale was acting so stubborn the first 4 days then boom had a dramatic drop on day 5 then again today when i weighed in. Was so happy. Now im even more motivated to stick to the script and keep on keeping on Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
  23. So, in a couple minutes i will be leaving for my 1 week post op appointment. And i must say this week was a roller coaster (somewhat). First couple days home i hated drinking, it was very painful. Doc got me pretty tight and it is actually an upside because it gives me more restraint. Was slightly depressed because the scale wasn't moving the first few days and i was jealous of everyone else's post op scale dropping results LOL. But out of no where i had dramatic drop on the scale (just like my Bariatric Pals told would happen) dropped 6 pounds 2 days ago, and dropped 4.6 pounds since then. So my 1 week post op results is 10.6 pounds. Sometimes i get hella hungry but the scale has been good to me and i dont plan on mistreating her anytime soon (unless i run into a stall i will have no control over). So ready to get this tube taken out my stomach so i can work out. Sent From Galaxy Note 5 using the BariatricPal App
