I had no swallow test. My doc did the test while in there with liquid and dye I believe. He said it was like checking a tire for a leak. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

3rd day in hospital\Unable to pass Gas\VSG
My doc said that he wasn't so concerned about passing gas w/sleeve since there was no re-routing. So, hopefully it's nothing bad. Might want to get off of narcotic pain meds. They will stop you up.

Just here to gripe
15 days out. scale will not budge. I've always been able to lose weight pretty fast when dieting, but not right now. 600 cal per day since surgery. Went in at 289 and now been stuck at 283 since Sunday. I'm going to embrace the stall. Embrace it as hard as i can around it's pretty little throat.

Increased water intake = retaining water and gain?
Fat is less dense than muscle. 5 lbs of fat takes up more space than 5 lbs of muscle. It's about density. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Where do I start? And with what?
They want you to know what causes you pain if you eat it. So, when they say to introduce one new food at a time, it would be w/in a period of time that if it does not agree with you, you know what it was that caused the problem.

Pain
I am two weeks post op and felt that pain yesterday when I was getting up and down. It went away today. Doc said that was the opening they had to pull the muscle the most to get the stomach out and to expect that pain for about two weeks. If you can't handle it, I'd take my meds accordingly. My doc did say to use ice one day and then heating pad the next couple of days when I was being discharged.

Pre/Post Surgical Plans Are Not Required
WLS - That was in response to this comment: @sc101071 -- This means you. WLSResources/ClothingExch, on 13 Aug 2016 - 18:16, said: I appreciate the last you wrote. I'm not here to fight. That's why I deleted my keeper of the weight loss post. I'll stand up for what I think is right, but I'm not here to get into it with others.

Pre/Post Surgical Plans Are Not Required
Lipstick, I've been nothing but respectful and never implied anyone "STFU". Maybe it's that kind of abrasiveness that gets me. And the girl didn't seek permission. She doesn't need your permission. She sought knowledge based on others experiences. Yes, maybe it was early, I wouldn't do it, but at least she asked and then got run out of the room. WLS- I don't care what you think of me, or the length of time on this board or dealing with all things sleeve, but I do know that ive read everything I can and taken every piece of advice from my doc to heart. You keep talking down to people if it makes you feel all mighty on a message board. At least there are those here with pure intent to help others without belittling. Pre/Post Surgical Plans Are Not Required
Lots of people out there make fun of fat people to make themselves feel better or superior. I guess the obese have to fall back on our wits. Mocking these people is not supportive. The way things are handled by many on here will only drive people away. If it's really your care for these people remember that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pre/Post Surgical Plans Are Not Required
I just don't get why certain people get so angry. Worry about yourself. You aren't here to save all of us. I read a post earlier where a girl who was told not to drink for the rest of her life by her surgeon asked when other people's doctors allowed for alcohol. So many people going on and on and denigrating people for seeking guidance others have also received from their medical doctors. Her question was not out of line. The responses, not addressing her question at all, were.
