  1. Really uncomfortable right now. Had 2.5 oz of turkey and 1/2 cup very soft brussels sprouts. Walked to try to get things moving. Only managed a pitiful burp or two. What is your experience?
  2. I follow the soft foods meal plan (stage 3), but I get hungry. One to two ounces of turkey doesn't cut it, even if it's followed by 1/4 cup of yogurt. And the "slice" of pear? I had a whole nectarine and was not uncomfortable. I'm finding myself reaching for a Protein shake or low fat string cheese to tide me over between meals. I know I'm not supposed to snack. Anyone else have this problem? Also, I'm on my 7th day of a stall. I am exercising and drinking my Water and taking Vitamins.
  3. I waited a week, and then it was very slow and difficult. It got better after that. I think your system is slowed by the anesthesia and pain killers. Keep drinking Water to flush those out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I worry about that too. I'm on soft foods for another three weeks, and I just vaguely feel the restriction. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Not minding when someone takes my picture. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Plateau at 12 days PO. I expected this at some point, but not so soon. Also feeling hungry between meals. Adding extra Protein (oz or 2 of yogurt or turkey), but not reaching any level of discomfort. Anyone experience this? Water and exercise as directed. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. My program says no beef for my phase 3, but I can have ground poultry or lamb. They don't have to be puréed. I think beef, even if puréed, is harder to digest. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. It gets better. The more you walk, the more the gas goes away. Incisions hurt too, especially when getting up from chair or bed. I started holding my belly, so it wouldn't feel like my guts were going to fall out! Most of that went away in 4-5 days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. That sounds like phase 3 in my program, which I'm starting tomorrow, then phase 4 a month later. If anything, bars would be in phase 4. I don't know how my stomach might handle them, so I'll stick with simpler Protein sources for a while. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  13. My surgery was a week ago and I'm 54. So far, so good! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. First movement of bowels today. A very lengthy and uncomfortable experience, but good to know things are working. Still feeling odd contractions of the stomach muscle. The only other times I've felt that were after bouts with food borne illness and lots of vomiting. No nausea, but still those creepy contractions. Incisions, though clean, are starting to itch a bit. Surgeon used "glue" so no sutures are visible. First post op visit with surgeon will be this Friday. It would be nice to go onto soft solids at that point (which is technically only 11 days). Already tired of protein drinks, puddings, jello, soups. I would really like some fiber.
  15. Sleeved one week ago today. Nausea in hospital, but none since 6/29. Walking 20-30 minutes if I feel up to it, otherwise significant fatigue and 90 minute naps. Down about 10 lbs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
