Starting a journey page.....
Hi @@Monet08 I think if you are open to doing it, it's a great idea. Of course there's always the possibility of mean comments but as a whole, the WLS community is pretty great and supportive. I know for me personally, as a current pre-op (surgery is Tuesday) it's been a tremendous help for me to visit pages and videos of others who have been on their journey. Question from a Non-cook
Yay! Another like me! My husband does all of the cooking and enjoys it. Unfortunately, he is also a diabetic so healthy cooking is not an issue. He has been doing a lot of crockpot meals for us prior to me starting my preop diet. Maybe that would be a good and easy option for you? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T817A using Tapatalk

Does anyone know...
@@carlaw You could try putting a tegaderm patch over it to keep it dry. I had a doctor suggest that when I was having issues with estrogen Patches. You can get them at the drugstore. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T817A using Tapatalk

Advice on nutrition when flying 2 weeks post-op
Thanks everyone. @@lifeofblair My doctor's plan is a little different than others. We can have "funnel foods" (anything that can slide through a funnel) beginning as soon as possible. This includes scrambled eggs. Looks like I may need to pick up some of the Syntrax Grab and Go packets as my best option. @@KristenLe Thank you. I will definitely remind the doctor of the trip on my post op visit. It's a short one, (Las Vegas to Portland) which is good.

Advice on nutrition when flying 2 weeks post-op
Hi everyone, I did a search but came up empty on this. I'd appreciate any advice. I have to fly for a short weekend trip 2 weeks post-op, which is fine with my doctor. Should I just go ahead and buy the individual Protein powder packets? Should I maybe pop a couple of pre-made shakes in my bag? What has worked best for you? Thanks in advance.

I have a different BCBS, but if it were me, I'd give them a call or send a secure message if you have a portal and have them clarify.

Stressful 3-4 months - BCBS Federal
Thanks @hopeful2016. I am very excited. @@nickisleeve I had sent a secure message via the portal asking if they had received my paperwork on Tuesday. I didn't check my messages again until this morning when I got a an email notification that I had a message. They sent me a message that I had been approved. The coordinator from my doctor's office called about 10 minutes later.
