  1. My initial visit was on the 21st as well. Good luck!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks for sharing Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Do 2 more visits. Your insurance coordinator should've known it would get denied. They have these steps to make sure that you are serious about the procedure. Insurance is shelling out a lot of money so just do the required visits and resubmit. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Congrats!!!!! Seemed like a long insurance process but the finish line is near. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. 1st appt went great!!! I met my surgeon and he seems awesome. Broke everything down, even drew pictures of the procedure. My insurance only requires 3 months of medically supervised weight loss. So I have 90 days to get all my test done and clearances approved. I'm so sure time will fly by..... oh the dietician wants me to lose 10lbs before surgery. Sounds very doable. I'm super excited!!!! 6. Best advice ever!!!! I did that today. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I was in the same position and I just added calories and ate unhealthy which sucked. I have my first pre op appt today and noticed that the scale at the Drs office scale was a little friendly by 7 lbs. at home I weighed 221 at the office I weighed 228. I never wanted a scale to be more until today. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Ok, so I was originally suppose to have my first visit on August 4th, but someone cancelled and I was moved up to July 21st. I'm so excited and nervous. I stayed up late last night watching YouTube videos of first appts/consultations. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Me too!!A little nervous but sooooooo excited!! How did the appt go for y'all? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. My surgery has been moved to the 15th. The cardiologist doesn't have a problem with waiting 48 hours but my surgeon wants to wait 5 days. Wow! Well, I guess 5 days is better than 30. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Let me know what they say. I'm on Eliquis too but I haven't met with my surgeon yet. The research I've done showed that you could still have surgery but they may require you to stop a couple of days before. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I plan on treating this surgery like my past surgeries. I'm not telling anyone because it's no ones business. IMO but I'm kinda a private person.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I may try to ask them to expedite mine as well. I've counted my days up and they should be sending everything in the beginning of November. I'd love to have surgery the week if thanksgiving, I know I'd have help with my son then. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Let the final countdown begin!!!! Congrats!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I think this forum is giving me an ulcer. Some people seem so angry, like chill out. The world is not coming to an end. I don't see anything wrong with someone making a post about their experience with alcohol. I don't see the person asking for advice or tips, but some folks just don't have enough self control to keep scrolling. If u don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Its their sleeve!!! Did u pay for it??? Well zip it!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. Hey @@Heidijenn I think you've probably already answered your question. I just think fear is trying to take over. Think 6 months down the road, if you had the surgery, how do you think you'd feel? If you didn't have the surgery how do you think you'd feel? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Oh I'm in Jackson and I start my 1st appt on August 4th so I'm just getting started Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. How did you feel about having to gain weight prior to your appt? I'm considering stopping my regular "diet" altogether and stop counting calories, etc. I'd hate to lose my progress but I guess a few weeks of feeling bloaty and gross is worth it if I can qualify for this procedure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Omg!!! My first appt is Aug 4. I've been trying to stuff my face to get more lbs on. Yes, I feel sluggish, bloated, and gross. Idk how much more of this I can take. It's so hard to put on extra weight fast. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Hellooooooooooooooooo anybody out there???? I'm just starting this journey. Just figured it would be nice to have someone to go thru this journey with.... That was closer to home. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
