Band fill after oesophagus dilation
Should start with 3 since 4 mls is too much, then do small 0.2ml increments till you hit your green zone.

genepro vs isopure
After that investigation/class action I think Glabia bought Isopure.

Still thinking about the change.
Yes, but I've been having problems off and on with a dilated pouch. They think it's time for me to get the sleeve. Common? Being unfilled I can't stay at goal weight no matter what. If they just remove any liquid, I eat like a horse and I put on weight in a hurry. Keep me posted how it goes with your journey through sleeve land. I've done lots of the pre-op testing but still haven't bit the bullet yet. Thanks for the share. You almost got me convinced lol.

How Many Servings of Fruits and Vegetables Do You Get Each Day?
I hit my five-a-day every day and more. I put them in smoothies so I can take more in.

Still thinking about the change.
I've been so used to my band that the idea of switching to another type of WLS is rather daunting. I feel if I gain weight with the band, I can just adjust it as I have throughout all these years. You can't adjust the sleeve. Anyone else feel or have felt this way?

My Five Year Banniversary!
Congratulations!

It absolutely makes NO freaking sense to me... **MY RANT**
The person who asked about the Taco was never rude nor mad at you. She asked because she wanted to know. People here who ask for help feel vulnerable as it is, and when someone comes off judgmental, it doesn't help.

How do you know what weight you should be?
I just go by BMI. Those weight charts can be ridiculous.

First fill
I had a very strict doctor, and like yours, he put in a small amount in my band the first time. I had zero restriction. After a few fills, I was able to reach my green zone. Have patience.

Not losing weight
How many calories/carbs are you eating every day? I stick around 1300 calories or so, carbs lower than 100, balanced diet.

3wks out tacos?
One thing I noticed reading through many threads, the people who have hit goal weight and have been around for a long time, are generally the most kind and helpful. In every forum, there will always be those who crave to be "popular" and part of the "in" crowd. I didn't care for them in high school, and I don't care for them now. Their humor is almost always directed to hurting someone or being condescending. As far as the tacos question, there are some programs that allow incorporating normal foods at 21 days. Corn isn't inherently bad, and one can get taco shells that are not fried. The problem is that the Protein first rule should be the first and more important rule in all your meals. It is something to keep in mind as you progress through your journey.

Slower weight loss second time around?
Each time I think I'm okay to keep the band for now. I read these forums and change my mind again.

Lap band port pain
Went through the EGD recently. The worst part of it for me was sitting in the lounge by all the free muffins, donuts with an empty stomach for 3 hours while waiting to be called in.

Smoking
Every day smoker, 1 pack a day, and it took about 11 days not smoking to clear the urine test. The doctors understand how hard it is, and are patient on you to pass it.

How much should I be able to eat
I heard that there's some controversy behind GENEPRO. Check out MelanieSlicedThinner on YouTube if you're interested. Sent from my SPH-D710VMUB using the BariatricPal App I'm a huge fan of GenePro. I'll definitely check that out. Thanks.

How much should I be able to eat
Read carefully. I commended some. I just don't get the condescending tone of some of these people on this thread. They know who they are which is why they keep coming back to get the last word.

How much should I be able to eat
People who ask questions, get real answers, get angry... Sigh. The point is to answer the question(s) they ask. Real answers are great as long as they are the answer to their question. Everything else is irrelevant. Get it?

How much should I be able to eat
Negative people. People who like to judge. People who think they know it all. Sigh.

How much should I be able to eat
One of the most common questions is how much can one eat yet only one person came back with an answer (Sai) instead of their two cents on bananas at this stage. BTW bananas are healthy for you and every doctor is different. I was told that the first week I could blend 1/2 a banana in my protein shakes as long as I strain it.

Lap band pros.. Advise is needed!
Lots of different healthy Soups (American Heart Association stamp), lean meats, fruits and vegetables. About the only thing I could not eat from the beginning was bread, starchy things. Fibrous fruits are a little difficult like pineapple. Other than that, just kept your whole meal about 1/2- 1 cup total.

Lap-band to Sleeve
I'm on that road right now. Lost over 100 lbs with lap band, the doctor said to switch to sleeve due to minor continuing issues. My insurance approved the revision. Lots of hoops to jump through. sleep study, ekg/stress test/echo, endoscopy plus more. I finished jumping through most of the hoops and will begin my pre-op diet soon. As soon as I was approved for the revision, they completely unfilled my band. That was a little more than 4 months ago. I'm up 22 lbs since they unfilled it. I'm scheduled for a September revision (all in one).

Un-filling the band before revision surgery?
My doctor removed all my Fluid before the EGD, otherwise it would be difficult to get the camera down my esophagus. It was also to let my stomach go back to normal before the sleeve revision. People who never had the lap band have EGDs all the time.
