  1. I like the suggestions you all have given. Thank you. Travel girl, please let me know how the collegen powder works. Hydration is a great idea as well. I use coconut oil already. Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Thank you for the replies. I've been raised with 4 brothers. I'm the only girl with no one to compare. Them and my dad are so set on looks. I grew up in Orange county and that's not far from Hollywood. Every thing is about looks and being slim. I have since moved to Spolane It was brutal growing up being teased in school and my dad and brothers were pretty cruel My mom still goes thru ridicule by my dad when she can't walk fast enough to keep up with him. She is 95 and he tells her, you've got to get in shape. This is why I dread wrinkles. If Iam slim with surgery It will be the next thing they go after me for. 3. He wants me to lose weight before surgery. Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Iam already getting turkey neck. My doctor put me on phentermine. I've been losing about 2 pounds a week. I havent even had surgery yet and Iam freaking out because I think that Iam losing too quick. I am 60 years old, but this turkey neck came on pretty quick. Not sure if I should proceed with surgery. I don't know what's worse, being fat or looking like a dried up prune. Iam also on an asthma medicine called, Advise and I know that messes with your skin as well. Is anyone experiencing any thing simular? I'd appriciate any feedback I can get, thank you. Sent from my SM-J700T using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. They didn't give me a score. I was wondering what the name of the mask you got? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  6. My doc told me I have mild sleep apnea. They want me to use this Cpap machine for 6 weeks before they will do a sleeve on me. I move around at night a lot, so far it's not working. Iam claustrophobic too. Is anyone else having problems with this? I'd appriciate any suggestions. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  7. If you can take liquid benadryl. Walmart sells it and the generic brand works fine for me. Start off with maybe half a teaspoon. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  8. I don't have any support and was wondering, after surgery, does a person need to be stocked up on soft foods, Vitamins? Would a person be mobile enough to go to the store to purchase these items by themselves? I would appreciate any feedback, thank you Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  9. Iam low on Vitamin D. I think they said 17. I haven't had surgery yet, but may try the Patches. I get sick on pills Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  10. Has anyone tried these? patch Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  11. I did the at home study. I have bigger breasts,so, it wasn't much fun. I got pretty tangled up and the thing that you clip on kept falling off. So, I don't know how accurate it was... Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  12. I am so worried about no support after I have surgery. I have no one to help me. Do you really need help after surgery? Can a person do this by themselves? I would appriciate any feedback. Iam almost there. I have very mild sleep apnea, so I have to wear the machine for 6 weeks and then they're hopefully going to do the surgery. My family continues to ridicule me about my weight and they are against weight loss surgery. I have had to be my own advocate. I would love to make some new friends here... Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  13. I have mild sleep apnea. They said I have to wear the machine. Iam confused. I thought if your sleep apnea was mild, that you didn't have to wear the machine and wait 6 weeks Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  14. Looking for a support group in Spokane. It would be great to meet in person. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  15. Why in the world won't your counselor approve you for surgery? That is crazy!!! Sounds like you have done a fantastic job so far, that's got to be frustrating!!!You need a different counselor for sure. I am going to send you a private message, let me know if you get it, ok? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  16. I am not sure when my surgery is. I still have to get the sleep study done and be cleared by the heart doctor. They are going to do a stress test and some other test. The heart doctor seemed to think there was something going on with the left venticular. Heart could be enlarged. He says he sees that a lot in his over weight patients. I am hoping weight loss surgery helps this problem Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App Right. It's weird because they approved more Counseling appointments Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  17. I thought Molina would approve me for more visits with my dietician, but they denied the request. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  18. I am in Spokane too. I still need to see my dietician. I used up my 12 visits though for meeting with my dietician. I went through a few before I ended up with a Rockwood dietician, who I should of saw to begin with. I haven't had surgery yet and need to meet with her, the dietician after surgery. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  19. Molina health care through the state Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  20. I have Molina Insurance. They told me I needed to go to 3 visits of each, physical therapy, Counseling and dietician. I fulfilled thier request and did 12 of each. My counselor thought I needed ongoing Counseling so Molina approved more Counseling visits. But, when it came to the dietician, they wouldn't approve any more visits. It is frustrating to come this far and have this happen. I am going to need to meet with the dietician before and after surgery. I remember my Molina case worker telling me she could probley get an extension, but it looks like that's not happening. Anyone else having a problem with Molina? Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  21. Anyone doing a semi low carb diet? I've lost weight on the strict low carb, but can't handle this constipation. My dietician said, no fruit, but I think I Am going to buy some now. Maybe watermelon or peaches? I Am hoping that helps Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  22. Need to lose 1 1/2 pounds by tomorrow. I Am so close but my 6 months are up with Molina. They denied me because I didn't reach my goal. Molina weighed me at 310, but actually got up to 316. What changed for me, was that I finally got a real good therapist that works with trauma. Since I've seen her, I went down to 296 in 3 months. That's 20 pounds, but Molina has me at 13 1/2. My dietician put in a request for an extension. Hope it goes through. I am only 1 1/2 pounds from goal. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  23. Thanks. I like the lemon Water idea. I Am already doing premier Protein. Thanks Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  24. Thank you, I will try that Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  25. My insurance won't approve me unless I take 5 percent of my weight off in 6 months. I only had to lose 15 pounds and really struggled. Finally, I started being successful at the low carb diet. Constipation was a real pain though. Now I have this constant ache in my lower and upper left side. Anyhow, I was at 312 pounds 2 months ago and now Iam at 298. My insurance (Molina), needs me to be at 294 by this Friday and the scale won't budge! My insurance weighed me in at 309. So 294 is the goal. I am getting upset because this is the worst time for a stall. I need to be 294 by Friday or, they won't approve me. I've done everything they have asked me. Just in the middle of the heart study and may have to do a sleep Apnea study, but that's for the surgeon, I am pretty sure. Any suggestions to get past this stall and lose the 4 pounds by Friday, would be greatly appreciated Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
