Drinking issue
I need advice as I don't know what to do for hydration lately. I've basicly been on g2 gatorade since day after operation. Water does not go well with me (either cold or room temp) makes me want to puke at every sip I take . But for the past few days I can't even have G2 I think it tastes too sweet I tried adding Crystal light to water but same issue . we had some nestea zero here at work tried to have that but it's like I,m drinking sugar syrup. even diluted Tried Vitamin zero water same thing except I have a powedery feeling on my tongue when drinking it + the sweetness is too strong for me. don't know what to do anymore for that. any suggestions?

Not health related
I've been sleeve a month ago tonight. I like the fact that I'm loosing weight and all but something I do love for now is how much money I'm saving. I did a quick morning job (legal/not sexual )last Thursday that gave me 200$ cash. well to this day I still have 100$. normally that would have been gone by last Saturday from just eating take out 3 times a day. So this is a very good thing for me. will hold on to that 100$ cause my pants are getting big. I have a feeling that this saving part will not last long when nothing fits anymore..

6/27 buddies?
I was doing ok so far until today having issues with liquids . I was off of work for 3 weeks. been back to work since last monday, i think it's tuff since my energy gets drained real fast , haven't been able to start my gym back cause of lack of energy. I had my first real non pureed chicken last night it was soo good was chicken kebab but was able to only get have a cube in, scale finally moved down 3 pounds this morning so I'm happy about that. Got my 1st post op appointment with MD on August 2nd. hopefully will be very close to hitting the Onederland :-) Still not able to drink Water (makes me want to puke) been drinking G2 gatorade ever since but now I feel that thing is too sugary when I drink it. Tonight's dinner is sliced Low fat turkey with laughing cow spread on it and rolled up. Also replaced my daily binging habit (would wonder which takeout i'd have today either for lunch or dinner) now it's which mall should I go to and just buy stuff. not a lot of stuff but still.

First public meals coming up what do I do?
So this week I'm starting to get normal food back into my diet (started tonight with a chicken kebab extra chewed but the flavors feel like heaven). Next week will be my first post op normal activities got a family barbecue, I plan on eating a burger patty only, but the next day I'm going to Six flags Amusement park with my nephews and at this part I have no Idea what I can have, besides water.( they won't let you in with any food on you) Kind of worried I'll get to eat. Any suggestions?

Any Canadians in here that have claimed WLS on income tax?
Thanks Karine76 I see you just had your surgery. How are you doing? Are things going well? Happy you went ahead with it? And finally - how long was your wait for surgery? Surgery was ok, I'm doing very well, healing pretty well also. Just got back to work today. Very happy I had the procedure even though I'd give anything to have a bite of a Poutine right now. As for my initial consult to Surgery date I had my first talk withmy Doctor on June 3 and my surgery was on June 27 (self paid). one night at the clinic, and 1 and a half day in a hotel near clinic with round the clock nurse care.

Back to the gym
So I'm ok to go back to the gym now (I'm starting my 4th week post op). My question is since I'm still not eating a lot, if I do light cardio and burn calories, should I try and eat those back?

My doc said it was tax medical expense, but I had my surgery in Canada, don't know about Mexico surgery

I hate people around me
So basically people have been asking me if I really had the surgery cause nothing shows yet. Did a comparison picture collage and all have chose the day of the surgery picture as being the one where I look "thinner" . Guess the buyer's remorse phase is kicking in now. and I only lost 18 pounds since surgery on the 27th of June. kind of bumbed about that too.

5 Days Post Op And The Constipation Is......
it will pass. think i waited 5 days before my first poop post op. My Doc allowed some stool softner (one week post op)to make sure it gets all the Water in to let it move around more easely if ever I needed it.

Purée and soft food

Purée and soft food
So yesterday , i was starting to get some food , scrambled eggs, toast with butter on, mashed potatoes and fine ground beef. (supposed to be pureed but I figured my teeth would do the pureeing ) the only thing I can't get use to though is not drinking with my meals. I think this is the hardest so far. feels like it would help the whole process of getting the food down. Is it gonna be like that the whole time or just for the healing part? :-( but I'm still happy to start eating again.

Dreams
June 27th.. I been reading on this for a few minutes now and apparently it's normal.
-
Dreams
Ok the only post - up drugs I'm still on is my anti-heart burn, and something to prevent my gallbladder to go nuts on me. But Am I the only one who's been doing the most fucked up dreams since surgery? I feel like my brain is putting in a little bit to much overtime in that area since the surgery.

How long did it take from your first consultation until surgery day?
Omg that was very fast. Did you self pay? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Yes it was self pay. Don't know any insurance that covers this over here and if I went with our free health care there was a 3 years wait just to get an appointment with the doctor.

Stages of food
Wow why is my diet getting food back in so fast when I compare to everyone?
-
Stages of food
step 1 : strict liquid = 3 days post op step 2 : Semi liquid = days 4 step 3 : purée-soft for 7 days (scrambled eggs, purée meat, purée veggies, PB.) step 4: soft food and puree 14 days ( omelet, soft cheese, lentils, non puree minced meet, tofu) I'm starting semi liquid with mushy Cereal, cream Soup (with Protein powder, apple sauce, yogurt)

Tomorrow I start mushy / puree food Yeah
Breakfast suggest Special K with milk but I got to let them soak till their mushy.. I don't care as long as it's not in the form of Jello or broth :-) I get also Protein, cream soup and yogurt . I'm looking at the menu like I'm looking a the menu of a fancy restaurant. Tomorrow cannot get here early enough. :-) Today is Canada day so everywhere around me there's barbecue smell (burgers, chicken) this has been the hardest day so far. Also first post op activity which was strawberry picking. which sucks now that I found out I can't even have them in purée cause of the seeds :-( . but Lost 6.5 pounds since surgery Monday (june 27)
