Thinking about you today @8petals. I had mine 3 days ago and aside from hating this drain tube I'm stuck with, I feel great. I never even took the morphine in the hospital just the IV Tylenol. Truth be told the worst pain I had was a horrific headache.....I couldn't shake it.....nauseating it hurt so bad.....as soon as they let me have some hot tea, boom. It was gone....I guess caffeine withdrawals are worse than I gave them credit for. Let us know how your doing when you can.

I had surgery July 22nd and have a drain....like you everything else feels great except for the incision with the drain. I called my Dr this morning and they said it has to stay in until my follow up visit on Aug 1st. 10 days!! I hate it!! But I was praying for them to remove the band and do the sleeve in one surgery so I guess this is the price I pay for that.

I had my surgery Friday and came home yesterday. I have two 4 pound yorkies who must be sitting on top of me at all times. I just keep my bed pillow on my lap and everyone is happy.

Sounds like sinus drainage. Do you have allergies? That would explain the coming and going.

I asked my surgeon about this the morning after my surgery. He told me I could take smaller pills one at a time and break up larger ones.

Before surgery my doctor called in a prescription for some nausea medicine to be taken the night before surgery. When I went to pick it up the pharmacist said $50.00. Wow! I said how much is it before insurance and he said $130.00.....When I opened it up to take it that night it was just one pill!! Amend was the name of it....But I haven't had any nausea so I would buy it again.

I AM SLEEVED!! So I was here at 6:00 am this morning. Went in for surgery at 7:30 and woke up SLEEVED about 10:30. My surgeon came in just a bit ago and said my stomach wall wasn't too thick from the band. He also said I will be on Clear liquids about 2 weeks and not to push it because the area of the stomach at the top where the band was will end a little more time. I'm not In too much pain, no nausea. I guess that $130 pill worked. And I AM SLEEVED! Sent from my SM-T537V using the BariatricPal App

@@donya4859 What time is your surgery tomorrow? I have to be there at 6:00 am for surgery at 7:30. My husband will drop me off then he has to take our grandson for his driving test and he has a doctor appointment at 12:30 then he will come back to the hospital. I hope to be all sleeved and hopefully not too sick or in too much pain by then.

Your ticker says your surgery was on 7/8/2016...Have you had your surgery yet?

I like my FitBit Flex because I can change the band to the pretty ones with a buckle. I hate those fat black bands of some of the others.

I like experimenting with recipes for soups that I can have....something different and occupies my mind.

Me too!! Nervous! Making a pot of soup tonight for after I get home....have my bag packed except for my pillow and tablet...still need to pick up Biotene after work today....I think I'm ready!

Poop! And I just bought a giant size bottle of the gummies at Sams! My nut said that gummy multivitamins do not contain Iron and that I would need to take a separate iron supplement. Apparently it is not chemically possible for gummies to contain iron. I didn't want another Vitamin so I've opted for a regular chewable that has iron.

That's interesting. I wonder why not.

How is work going? I have a desk job and plan to return to work 6 days after surgery just like you. Some people act like that is way too soon. How are you feeling?

I asked the nurse at my surgeons office about vitamins to see what he recommended......she said any chewable....I told her I currently take centrum for women gummies and she said that was fine...why no gummies from your doctor?

I did initially lose about 50 pounds with the band.,....but after having complications I had to have it loosened up and then of course I put 25 pounds of that back on....then dieting on my own , I'm up, I'm down...you know how it goes....I wish I would have done the sleeve the first time....And I truly considered it but a good friend bragged on her band so much that I thought it was the right choice...I should have followed my own instincts...oh well...I just hope this is the last time! @@SwampBillies Aww, don't beat yourself up, sweetie. At first, I wanted lap band surgery, but after talking to my surgeon, he said he really doesn't perform them because although it is the least invasive, it has a high complication rate and not a high success rate. Did you lose weight with the band? Congrats on your 9 lb loss! I haven't weighed myself because I'm scared I'll get discouraged. SO far so good.....I'm down 9 pounds.....but like you I'm just ready to get this show on the road...I'm nervous...but excited....anxious for it to be done...scared he won't be able to remove my band and sleeve me all in one surgery...not sure I can do this again! @@SwampBillies Aww, don't beat yourself up, sweetie.
