  1. I did the milk of magnesium two nights (day 5/6 post op) and nothing. My surgeon suggested suppositories and that did the trick. I have been ok since. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  2. My surgeon gave me this card: I haven't used it yet, but I plan to use it in Vegas.

  5. @ Hippie72 I was there too! I cried for about 5 days on and off. It just suddenly passed. I came to terms with what I had done and decided to move forward. I'm much better in the purée stage. I can actually eat food, just all mushed up. Hang in there. When the pounds start shedding , you will be happy. Happy Birthday! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. Thank you all for your support. My buyers remorse passed around day 8. I feel energized and ready to conquer new challenges. I got to say, 23 lbs in 3 weeks(includes preop) is motivating!
  7. I'm only 12 days out, but I can tell you it gets better everyday. By day 8 I felt normal. Have a great journey! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  11. I am 4 days postop and I am struggling with buyers remorse. I feel like I made a mistake. Yes, I was prepared mentally, but now that I'm one the other side it feels different. Has anyone else gone through this? Please let me know what you did to break that frame of thought. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  12. She had a leak and wasn't diagnosed until too late. She became septic pullout, then had a perforated intestine and feel back into septic. She also didn't follow her post op diet.
  13. I'm awake! Surgery went great. I has nauseousness and gas pain in my stomach pouch. When I gagged to throw up, only gas came up.
  14. Thank you all for your prayers and positive energy. I'm still sitting in pre-op waiting for surgery. I'm definitely feeling more positive on the future outcome. I have put it in God's hands and have faith it will be great. ❤️????????
  15. I'm so nervous and excited! I have chickened out 3 times before!!!! The first two, I didn't get far in the process. I just wasn't ready. The last one was suppose to be June 2, 2016, but my husband was so emotional and scared that I canceled the night before surgery. (His coworker's daughter had just passed after having sleeve complications 3 wks post-op.) I feel we are both ready now. I will say, before this coworker situation I was anxious about the post-op recovery, but I knew I would be ok. Now all I'm worried about is death and complications! PRAY for me and anyone who is having surgery today. I report to the hospital at 10:30. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  16. Very inspiring ! Congratulations on your weight loss. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  17. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  18. I use the fitbit Surge. It shows the time and date, heart rate, steps, miles, cals, and floors. You can also track your exercise (gps), time it, calculate cal/steps/etc, for that activity. sleep patterns can also be monitored, if you wear it at night. You need to charge it about every 3-4 days. I love it. I feel lost when I don't have it.
  19. I "postponed" mine too. I was scheduled for today and couldn't go through with it. I need way more than 30 lbs, but my success at the pre-op liquid diet taught me I have the will power to do anything I set my mind to. I may never reschedule. Only time will tell. 20. My favorite it Isopure Toasted Coconut! I make it with ice and milk. Tastes like a coconut ice pop. 25g of Protein in one scoop. I bought it at my local Vitamin Shack. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I know what you mean about second guessing yourself. I broke down today and almost quit. A week on liquids really makes me think I could do this on my own. I'm scheduled for June 2nd. We can get through this together. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. June 2nd!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Hi Kindle. By eating disorder, I meant bulimia. You are right. I have a problem with food. I eat when I'm bored or emotional and am working on that. I do have a Masters in Counseling, so I am knowledgeable on addictions. I know this is not a miracle cure and requires a lifestyle change. I am committed. Thank you for the link. I will read it and reflect. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. VSGAnn2014, thank you for all the information. Thankfully I do not have an eating disorder. I think I just needed reassurance bc of comments made by friends. I know I will have to make better choices, even if I have the ability to eat whatever I want. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
